Got it, thanks! Usually uninstalling and reinstalling the game will do the trick for this issue. I'm wondering if there might be something else in the game's save data that's corrupted or missing. Can you try this for me as well?
1. Highlight Apex Legends in your Xbox dashboard and hit the Menu button on your controller
2. Select Manage Games & Add-ons
3. Go down to Saved Data
4. Select the data for your Gamertag
5. Choose Delete from Everywhere
This will clear the save data for Apex Legends on your console and Xbox cloud storage. You won't lose any game progress from doing this since it's all saved on the servers, but your in-game settings will return to the default.
