For me, the issue is not with changing the iron sights. My issue is the fact they feel they can change it without repercussion.
This entire thing screams anti-consumer to me.
These are the types of practices that are letting down modern gaming, and I feel like if we keep letting this stuff slide, then gaming as a whole is going to get worse and worse.
The past five years have been so terrible for the gaming industry; Anthem, Cyberpunk, Diablo Immortal, Marvels avengers....These games promised a finished, functioning product or stated no micro transactions/predatory practices would be included. Cyberpunk should never have been released, Anthem was staged release on how rich you are IRL, Diablo Immortal is Diablo immortal and Avengers flipped their promise of no microtransactions immediately.
I know the above are from different studios and not all in EA/Respawn control, but that doesn't mean that Respawn shouldn't be held accountable for anti consumer practices either.
People have already outlined its a cash grab move, nothing to do with integrity, or its just bowing to newcomers who would rather have played warzone/fortnite/pubg than see how cool Apex was.
So in short, for me, i'm just pissed about the anti consumer practices of it all.
I bought a product, a purchase agreement was completed, you are modifying my product after the fact. No bueno.
These "part timers" that got this canceled act like we were actually keeping iron sights over bruisers and 3x scopes. These same people are going to dip out for MW2 this November or the next big BR. While the people who paid and earned this skin remain here, screwed over because of bandwagoners.
I honestly don't even use the Flatine in general, I'm more upset that Respawn is catering to players that didn't support them. Certain things aren't attainable to new customers, shoot you can't even get my cell phone plan ANYWHERE, I've had it for so long they grandfathered my plan they still HONOR it.
