Forgot how bad the last few days before a new season are . . .
All the cheaters, smurfs, and 3 stacks are out in pubs warming up for S20. The solo queue life is agony around this time of the season. Just sayin'

Community ManagerFrom my experience, the first week or two of ranked in a new season tends to have a lot more variance as you get both current players rushing to start the new ranked climb and people coming back to check out the new changes that may not have played for a bit.
Provisional matches are gone this season as well, per our patch notes. 🙂
With everyone getting reset to 1 RP, the first few days of ranked are going to be as close to purely random matchmaking as we'll ever get.
