Fragment droppers question

With the giant nerf to the loot in fragment how often do you actually find a gun and do well?

  • Not sure what you mean by fragment nerf, I go for these weapons;

    RE 45 or Altenator, Sentinel, Spitfire, and Charge Rifle.  I am able to find buffs to attach to these weapons, barrels, mags, and stocks.

    I try to avoid L-Star, Bocek, Longbow, 30-30 Repeater, and Wingman.  If you can use these weapons, you must be a crack shot.

    I do like it, when I come across Hammerpoints for my RE 45.

  • @hayhor I land there when I play with Randoms (so a lot, it is out of my control).
    What I noticed it's like other places now, more like a hit or miss, sometimes the loot is extremely good or very poor, but in my experience bottom floor is usually bad, second floor hit or miss, top floor same.

    But last time for example I only found ammo attachments and level 1 backpacks, so I had to leg it under train stop
  • @hayhor I love worlds edge but it’s like 9 of 10 matches we go there so when I’m jumpmaster I take us elsewhere so I can enjoy the map more
  • OH okay, Fragment is a place on the new map.  Well no, in fact the new map has those vaults I can loot.  I don't know, if you are aware of this, the drones (look like disco balls) hold a vault key. Shoot one down then punch it.  Go loot a vault.  As Crypto, I can use my drone EMP to knock them down.  The vaults appear on the map as padlocks after you have a key.

    I am still learning the new map, but one of the vaults is in a passage near a place called Landslide.  I do miss the King's Canyon map from last season, but I was informed they rotate maps out each season.

    @Xubunnytwo The loot vaults on World's Edge have been around for quite some time. I don't go out of my way to go for them though.

    Also, you can use Loba's ultimate to "steal" an item out of a locked loot vault, in case you haven't discovered that yet. It will destroy the ult after you pull 1 item, and set off an alarm, but you can snag a shield/backpack without taking the time to find a bot to get a key

    @Xubunnytwo WE isn't new. It's the 2nd map and has been around for a lot of seasons. I'm specifically talking about the fragment poi. They said they nerfed the loot inside fragment. It's so bad you can run through entire building without finding any gun. TSM is talking about changing POIs for algs even tho fragment has been their drop point for years. This was done to stop the hot dropping but it hasn't stopped it at all. So now, if you don't find a gun your dead for sure. If you do find a gun and kill a few unarmed people you will die due to lack of ammo and heals. It's amazing. I've been dropping to respawn town, looting quickly and then head to frag to clean up whoever is left.

    C'mon. People learn anything new in this game? Change up their old, bad habits? At this point I'm sure they could empty out the area of loot entirely and force of habit or sheer laziness would still make people drop there in numbers as mind-numbingly irrational as they are right now.

    @reconzero Reminds me of when LL's passive was first changed. A bunch of LL mains came out of wood work throwing matches cause they thought she still had fast heals to save themselves, first time a realized people can't read patch notes "not don't, MD has the same people " or a watch streamers that talk about the game "not just play".
