That gun is crazy annoying when I'm trying to snipe. i think it's made me a better sniper though, I've become a peak-a-snipe player because of spitfires.

@EdwardDLuffyHave you tried the flatline at all? If you can control the recoil, the flatline is absolute beast of a gun... it has a higher DPS and better fire rate with a purple mag you get what 30 rounds? So it still a huge magazine..
I'm some what like you. I like to run Sentinel/long bow with a 99/volt/L-star. Other wise I run Flatline with a volt/99. Sentinel hits really hard 88-90's for body shots with a charge, head shots can land for as much as 140. Longbow is what I run if I can't find a Sentinel.
L-star is a tricky gun to use but it's technically a better gun than the volt. few weeks ago I did 1772 damage with just the L-star.
Fuse can be really hard to deal with. The ult+nades can allow Fuse to completely control the fight. Unless the enemy has a good wraight who can portal you out.- 5 years ago@DarthValtrex Yeah The flatline is usually my go-to heavy ammo gun until I find an R301 or Volt (or Havoc/Devotion if I can get a turbo). If I get a 30-30 I will stick with heavy so I don't have to carry two types of ammo, same with R301/G7. Prefer the G7 to the 30-30 as the bullet drop does not seem as much. It's quite the trick to actually pop bullets from a 30-30 into a enemy with the x4 scope. The G7 seems easier to use but of course the 30-30 does more damage.

@EdwardDLuffyClose range, medium range, even long range - 3x scoped burst hemlok does it all. Still top heavy dps (similar to flatline, as long as you stay away from single-fire; it's funny thinking how ridiculous it was before the nerfs, when it's still at the top now), good accuracy and decent mag size. Imo, hemlok is still king of heavy. It's sometimes funny how easy it is to use the spitfire, but it still doesn't shine on dps that much (it's finally good again, but not best) and it's quite useless close range (hipfire = miss, ads = get lazered for standing still). I guess flatline is a bit similar to hemlok, but I think hemlok does a little better at medium-long range and it's hipfire close range feels simpler and more consistent. It's just the easier to use gun of the pair, I think (or am I biased towards tap weapons vs full auto? I do hate the wingman and I do poorly with scout close range, so I don't think that's true).
