TitanFall 2 is definitely better than Apex. It goes back to the content argument. TitanFall 2 brings so much more content than Apex it's not even close:
- Excellent single player campaign.
- 15 maps playable on a variety of modes ranging from combined modes like Attrition to Titan only modes to Pilot vs Pilot
- Titans add another layer to the game to master
- Frontier Defense Co-op mode if you want some PvE gameplay with friends or randoms
- Live Fire pilot vs pilot mode...round based combat on it's own set of 6 small maps.
- Private lobbies to create games among friends
- "Network" system makes finding games for less popular modes easier than matchmaking.
An Apex player moving to TitanFall 2 should have minimal adjustment time. The weapons are basically identical in behavior, just previous models in the same line as Apex. Several tactical abilities in Apex are borrowed from pilot abilities in TitanFall 2...Wraith's Phase Shift, Octane's Stim, Bloodhound's Scan Pulse, Pathfinder's Grapple, Mirage's Holo dupe as well as cloaking. An Apex player should feel right at home with the basics.
As for Apex using the movement, I think Respawn said they play tested using the same movement and it didn't work well for Apex.
I often wonder if it would be good for Apex and TitanFall 2 to have menu selections to swap between the two. I think it would be beneficial given how much is shared already between them. It would help with Apex's perceived lack of gameplay variety. Weapon skins could be shared too. TitanFall 2's are much cheaper though lol.
