Headphones and footsteps

 @hayhor I think you mentioned in a thread I cannot refind about the ps4 headphones having better audio for footsteps, due to some setup in the ps4, and that other headphones had somthing similar bui...

    @OldTreeCreeperThe PS5 headset enables an EQ in the PS5 software. As far as I know it wont do that on PS4. I've found it helpful to turn down the really low overwhelming base sound that happens in this game while helping with the footstep audio. There are still plenty of no sound moments. That's just the game.

    You can buy headsets that have DACs for them. Arctis makes a DAC, called GameDAC that works with any arctis headset. I actually looked at buying one because I have arctic 5s that I love. But at the time the dac was $130 and the PS5 headset was $100. One thing to remember is the GameDAC has to be setup with a PC. You cannot change it on the fly in game. I think Arctis Pros come with the GameDAC.

    Overall I'm happy with my Pulse 3d set but the microphone is not as good as Arctis.
