HELP

Wasup my apex people. Since 14-December i can not play apex. Yesterday morning 14th I played a few matches and when i left(quit the game) my wifi went out.When i checked my wifi list ,my entire wifi adapter was malfuncioning.I couldnt do anything except put my pc into airplane mode. Apex literaly killed my internet wifi adpater. I didnt have this problem before yesterday. I did everything i could think of troubleshooting wise. Uninstal drivers.Update drivers. Reboot PC. Update BIOS. Until i just had enough and hard shutdown my pc(press OFF button until it turned off) and waited a bit (2-3 min). After i turned it back ON my wifi was as good as new. Just uninstaled apex.Im hoping for a fix before i try to play apex again bc i got no money to risc my pc getting messed up for a game.Is there a fix ??? Is it comming ^???

    @Unpaid_Jesus not that the players here can troubleshoot your PC, you left out a lot of information about the system. If you ever file a real life trouble ticket with support you should include;
    PC model, RAM, GPU, CPU, and network DL/UL and ping rates.
    OS version (don't just say Windows or Linux give version numbers), Steam or EA App for Windows, drivers in use, and anything else you might be running.

    As far as we know, you are running it on waffle iron, duct taped to a Commodore 64, and using a hair dryer as the router. You will need to be more sharing with this information, when you confront tech support about it.

    @Xubunnytwo I know i should use the Bug report section ... and i did. Ive had a post there for 3 weeks and the devs dont give a sh*t ... community is kinda my last resort .

    @DarthValtrex Since i stoped openning apex the pc is as good as new ... the internet too. Normal speeds. Normal detection ranges. Jst Normal. Every other game is fine. Ive been playing League and Minecraft just Normaly.

    An issue I ran into with youngtree's pc, was that he was filling his dell sd up. He only has a small sd drive for system stuff and a 1T HD for data. If you are running everything on 1 HD, then fragmentation can also be a problem.

    Is your drive over 75% full? If so these are things I do:

    I moved the system page filing from the sd to a the HD.

    Nvidia cashe dumps can be enormous, esp the DX cashe. I just delete all but the most recent every now and then.

    Users/name/appdata/local/nvidia

    Ccleaner for cleaning up the drive (free)

    Windows disk cleanup to get rid of old Windows update files.

    To defragment (only for HD not for sd drives) defraggler

    I defrag files only monthly then complete defrag of drive every 4 months or so. (free)

    Also system/storage can show more categories, can show you where things are clogging the drive. Esp apps and features. A real culprit here for us was the clip champ app and old installations.

    Another issue was: in a windows update my son's pc HD was reset to sleep after 20 min, crashing apex consistantly. I put it back as I had it to never sleep and all was well.

    Temperature may be another issue. I use Speccy to keep an eye on my laptop temp, windows 10 dosnt give that specific info. It's free too

    @OldTreeCreeper about 500 GB. I got a 1TB drive. I did some research related to my problem and it was happening to some people in 2020 that had the same pc "brand". I think its related. I was just hoping the devs would fix the incompatabilities because the brand wont do it on their end ... from what i found its my internet adapter Driver that gets weirded out by the way apex connects players to matches and it crashes.

    @OldTreeCreeperim a tech guy. already did the possible checks to make sure it wasnt a pc "health" problem. Storage 50% free(500/1000GB). SFC SCANNOW, DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth, chkdsk /r (this cleans/defrags/fixes disc errors). I uninstalled the game. Did a clean instal as admin. Drivers are up to date.

    @Unpaid_Jesus I'm not a teck guy 😃

    If it was me and it was working before Christmas, I would try to backdate the driver to before that, if you think that's the issue. Or get another brands driver that's known to work.
