While I understand you're talking about being banned just because you happened to play one match with a cheater; bans are typically issued when you are frequently playing with a cheater.
In other words:
Getting randomly paired with a cheater once, (or twice / a few times) by the game, or by joining the cheater's party once, (without knowing that player is cheating), shouldn't result in you being banned, (especially if you report the player for cheating and then avoid playing with them).
In cases where you are banned just by being on the same team, (such as what happened to that one player in the video you had provided), all you can do is to make an appeal with the EA TOS Team.
