How to generally get better at Apex? I'm nintendo switch level 20

Ok, so after not getting a single kill during a 30 min session of pubs i'm really annoyed. I have no idea how to get better, the recoil is uncontrollable for me and often in firefights i can't respond quickly enough and die. Is this something you learn over playing time or do I need to improve in a certain way? My most played so far are bloodhound (13 kills) and wraith (11 kills). For the record I play another FPS on the switch (overwatch) and I have no problems there (If anyone's familiar with the overwatch ranked system i'm high plat). I wasn't very good at fortnite when I played in like season 5 but I was ok at least

    @RAIGAN201784 I know from watching a Zeus video of switch play it is not easier to see people at 30 fps. I went from ps4 to ps5 and the locked 60 fps combined with enhanced hd is much better.

    If you played apex on other console before moving to switch, you are at an advantage to any real new switch player and should be farming those players. Plus if you are on a new switch account you are getting the lowest levels from the other consoles.

    @hype_f0rceJust play, and try to learn from your mistakes. Dropping hot is not gonna do it, because the game is not just mechanics. Mechanics will come with time and practice naturally. Spend 8-12 hours a day playing, and you will improve.
    If you do not have such time at hand, find something else you wanna get good at that you already are doing, such as school or work.
