How to spend least amount of money getting all event items?

This is different from my normal types of posts as it's not a bug report or suggestion or anything like that, it's a personal question.  I already posted it on Reddit so I'm gonna copy it below, if you see it there as well just know I'm the same guy.

I'm prepared to spend some money in order to get the entire anniversary collection, but I'd like to save where I can. I've been trying to do the math myself but I feel as though I might be missing out stuff so I decided to ask here. To clarify some things: Right now I have 1450 Apex Coins and 725 Crafting Metals. I am at level 13 in the premium battle pass. There are 24 event items. You can buy anniversary packs for 700 Apex Coins each, with each pack being guaranteed to give you one event item. Buying them in bulk as standard does not save money. There are also two bundled in the shop, one for 5000 Apex Coins that gives you a skin and seven event packs and one for 2500 Apex Coins that gives you three packs and a skin. Realistically, you can only save money by buying each set once. Lastly, you can earn two event packs for free just by completing challenges. With this info in mind, does anybody know the minimum amount of money I'd have to spend in order to get all of the collection items? Please also note that you can get up to 10 regular Apex Packs for free by getting 4000 event points, all of which have a chance to give you crafting metals that you can use to make event items. You can also get Apex Packs just by levelling up for those who might've forgotten. Event Apex Packs can also have crafting metals too, so it's imperative that you also buy and open apex packs in the right order in order to maximize your chances of spending the least amount of money. Also, if you want to take the numbers I have and apply them to your own current currency scenarios feel free.

If you're gonna answer please try to be realistic and take most details into account.  Thanks 🙂

  • @jnub64 Play out the event points as fast as possible. Open those packs. Maybe you will get coins but you know you will get two items. Use your crafting materials to get the 2 or 3 items you can with those. Then keep playing and dont buy the rest of the stuff until a couple days before the end of the event at least. If there are any event items in store that give an item immediately always buy those before buying the event packs.

Spending money to open regular packs hoping to get crafting materials is just a waste of time.

For caustic heirloom I bought the store bundles that gave an item plus packs at a discount. I saved a little bit of money.
  • @hayhor Thanks for the advice.  I have a small question regarding opening those two packs right away though, if I were to do that wouldn't it provide a small chance to give me the Bloodhound or Lifeline skin that I'm going to be getting in the bundles anyway, thus making the bundles no longer worth it?
