Lots of very good advice there. PC-centric, but good. Don't know if you've ever played on a controller, but if so then do an edit that talks about how all of the above changes if you have a thumbstick.
Handful of things that I can see people taking the wrong way:
"Get psyched-up, and push yourself as hard as you can, every second of the game. 4-way strafing + enthusiastic attack + aim at the neck + zig-zag towards targets."
I see where you're going with this, but there are far too many players in the game who will interpret this as a blank check to drop hot, push solo, and die repeatedly. Which I don't think is what you meant at all.
A lot of the advice about the mechanics of an attack seem to me to be mnk specific. Strafing on a controller is like blurring yourself just enough that the servers end up thinking you're twice the size you really are and therefore twice as easy to hit. 20 plus years of fps controller strafing hasn't made me better. It's taught me to stop trying. Though I could say that about so many other things as well....
"If you are striving, you will find that you may very-often lose frags, by one shot. I call those "One-shotters". Therefore your goal should be to get one shot better. And then they'll all be frags!"
For me the above quote really sums up your attitude. Which is laudable, but, imo, flawed. If you, as a player, have a striver's mindset then it's good advice. But for the average schlub who just wants to play a match or two before dinner a couple nights a week, it's untenable. And it points out what is for me the fatal flaw in all competitive shooters, and that's the diminishing returns on improvement. At some point you find yourself doing ten times the work for one percent better stats. More power to those who want to make this into a job, but for me working that hard really takes all the fun out of the experience. Maybe that's just me. I say give yourself permission to be average if that's what it takes to enjoy the game.
Hey reconzero!
That's very-thoughtful commentary you added. You're no troll!
I really connected with your ending, and I actually mentioned that in my latest update, which I haven't posted yet.
I will soon!
(And, I did say: "If".)
;o)
I say:
"Three more notes:
Sometimes targets will have low health, and go down in one or two or three shots.
There is no Friendly Fire. So constantly unload your weapons everywhere.
It's a game. You don't have to do well at it. Stare at the sky a little bit.
I do!"
That last part!

Hey Asmodeus566!
Thanks for your valuable input.
Your comments are centered around APEX specifically, and you're right. Those are all excellent tips for APEX for sure. Thank-you!
But dear, I said 11 frags, not 11th place.
Ty!
