Well, I only played the two matches. I was hitting around 4/5 of them. My experience doesn't negate yours, nor vice versa. I was just sharing my take.

@Alphabets
In my honest opinion Seer is the second worst idea to come out of Respawn Entertainment, The smart pistol is the first from Titanfall, 3rd is bots. Understand I thought Caustic was an awful idea, Seer is just plain garbage.Like honestly, the passive and tactical don't promote anything competitive and/ or casual in nature, It directly promotes having too much knowledge with little effort. Being able to just spin around while aiming down sight to gain the knowledge of everyone around you is not skill, it's simply a bad idea. Matter of fact is why most cheaters choose to use ESP (Extrasensory perception) cheats as they don't directly have the skill themselves.
With what little Apex Legends has of competitive play now (with Valorant just taking most hardcore players) It's good Seer got the nerf in my eyes. The second issue in Apex Legends is aim assist devices need separate lobbies.
- @Popa2caps Well you are saying Seer and Caustic were not good for the game, because they are not skill based and they can win by abilities so it’s good that Seer nerfed. I’m saying right or wrong this was his kit, all he had, I can clearly feel nerf hit him hard and it makes him lose his use for the team as a scanning/detecting character. They shouldn’t release a legend and then turn him into a dummy.
- @Popa2caps The same argument could be made about bloodhound, or really any other legend in the game (other than perhaps Crypto and this version of Wattson).
"Wraith is so bad at escaping that she needs to phase out to play, no skill involved..."
"Octane is so bad at avoiding damage that he has to have an auto-heal and get-out-of-jail free card at the same time, no skill."
"Bangalore can run faster when attacked and launch smoke to hide her team? Lame! No skill!"
"Lifeline doesn't even have to stay there to rez?! Talk about lazy?! No skill or planning!"
In other words, people tend to say "no skill" whenever there's a legend that they don't like personally or whenever it's used in a way they don't approve of for "pro" gaming.
My issue with seer is only that they had to redo an idea they already did. We didn't need bloodhound 2.0. We needed something different. But Bloodhound 2.0 is what we got. - @Alphabets I hardly use the Q anymore either because if you know enough about the enemy's position to actually hit them with it, then why use it? All it does is give away your own position, and now that it doesn't flash or damage, it doesn't cause any kind of panic that it was useful for before.
The only time it's worth using the Q is when you know exactly where someone is and know exactly when they're using an ability.
At least in arenas, it's been difficult to hit more than one player on a team with it consistently, which doesn't help much. Seer is worse than Bloodhound now, at least in my experience. @AlphabetsHe is still broken af. Everything about him is op, from his passive to his scan. He is not meant to be a bloodhound, where you can scan the enemies no matter what they're doing. You should scan enemies with seer when you know where they are and what they're doing, like healing, reviving or chilling behind cover, this way i guarantee it you will hit it 99%. Even if you don't hit it your team can beam em while they get out of cover.
- @Tad844 What are you talking about man? How can my team beam them when I can’t hit them and enemy team might be somewhere inside or outside two buildings away from my team?!
- @Alphabets because now you need to time it correctly, previously it used to hit players even when they are outside the area of effect that's why people used to hit someone every single time so now it feels weird not to hit anyone most of the time.
the changes were needed, maybe the only thing that is a little over nerfed is the avoide time - @Alphabets These guys are right. His tactical isnt meant to be a bloodhound scan. You have a passive and an ultimate that you can use to indicate where enemies are. The strength of the tactical is stopping things through walls and mountains. The ultimate 3rd party.
I still think that the key to nerfing Seer's tactical is to nerf his passive. Without the passive, it's hard to pinpoint the enemies' location behind a wall. When you get that all yellow circle from the passive, you'll absolutely hit that enemy with the scan. As I've said before, make the passive like Valk's passive. Have a meter so that he can't use it 24/7.
