Greetings!2 weeks ago I bought all of the Anniversary Packs as i was excited that heirloom shards were made available through this event. I remember reading the following:"Unlocking all items in the Collection Event will earn you 150 heirloom shards, so you can unlock any heirloom you want."However, i did not open the packs until today and there were no heirloom shards at all.I honestly hope that the reason wasnt because i did not open my packs during the Anniversary period/immediately. Technically i have them in my inventory, it shouldn't make a difference on when i open them? I don't remember there is a rule that says i have to open the packs during the event to receive the shards.Help Please!Thank you.

I'm curious tho, why wait to open the packs?

It seems to me that Heirloom or shards are just an extra "free" reward during the event if you unlock 24 items.
You didn't open the packs so everything was locked and you missed the event shards reward.
You can also contact EA and let's hope that you'll receive it.

Yes i think for now the best would be to contact EA and hope i get the shards!
I participated in most of the events previously but had never come across any rule that said its a must to open the packs during the event. I was away for the past 2 weeks and since there weren't any heirlooms in the shop right now that I'm keen on having, i thought i would just "bank" the shards and save it till they launch new ones in the future. Since im going to bank it, i guess it wouldn't make any difference if i open them right away or later. I guess that did not cross my mind at all!

@i_Melody_TTV the way I see it is that you dont need to justify why you didn't open the packs, it's your right and you should get what you paid for and it does not matter when you unpack your purchase. it's like buying a bar of chocolate during an offer and open it after two weeks and get a bar of soap.
if this is the case and it's important to open the packs during the event then Respawn should have been very clear about that and should have given more details about how the event works, but as usual, they keep everything in the shade so they have an escape door when things go wrong.

@SpyrosFPS I believe this does not apply to the anniversary event as it was not an heirloom, and I even don't agree with this statement because that means that the packs can be manipulated and there are few things totally wrong about this.
1- when an event is launched and I buy the packs then I SHOULD NOT be forced to open it during the event itself, that is just BS .......I bought it so I should get it.
2- when someone buys packs the content of the packs should be fixed and should not change after a period of time, the system should not be linked to the time period, it should be linked to purchase type.... which is another BS.
3- this information were published when the shards were introduced but because the event was different then they should have given new information to confirm what is going to happen, this is called negligence and laziness

Thank for for finding this relatable! If there was a written rule that packs should be open during that period i guess i would have done so back then. I spent so much money to get back some skins from previous seasons. I just feel this is not justifiable at all.

@maximas1986 The contents of the event pack don't change, you can open whenever you want. Since he has 24 packs but the not one containing shards which you get after you fill 24/24 progress bar, he didn't receive them.

That being said since a lot of money is involved, his best bet would be to contact a dev. These support staff don't know jack, and will only give you vague replies.

@i_Melody_TTV did you get all 24 items from the event when you opened the pack later? I believe you should have, as confirmed by a dev.

Some updates from EA.

EA:
If you have unlocked all the contents and did not received the shards then we can try to report the issue with the team as a bug so they can investigate the case and try to fix it as soon as possible. Meanwhile it is not confirmed if the team will be able to add the shards on the account or not.

My next question was: Could i get a refund if shards cannot be placed back into my account, if its a bug its not my fault. And what is the expected timeline for me to get answers?

EA:
The team always tries to make sure that the game is not facing any bugs, but investigating an issue is sometimes tricky as the team needs exactly to copy a situation which triggers a bug. But hope the team will be able to fix any issues with the grant of the heirloom shards in game, meanwhile it's not possible from our end to share an expected time frame regarding the investigation.
