I just achieved Plat 4 solo queue. I plan to grind to Diamond as well. My question is this: Why exactly is achieving diamond such an important goal for so many people, including myself?
- @Bolted_Fault Like anything in life it's a target. And it's the lowest one that gives a fancy trail. Some like these things in everything they do.
Personally my target is to play and have fun. After all it's a video game. Life doesn't change based on it. You can't use it to buy food or thing and you don't get better jobs because of it. - @Bolted_Fault It's viewed as the big divide in terms of slightly above average and skilled players. The dive trail is another big part of it. Platinum is where you start having to fight people who are actually decent at the game. You are also risking a decent RP each match, you basically have to get 3-4 kills a match to break even on RP or place top 5.
The dive trail was the main reason.@DarthValtrex and the shiny version of the diamond badge will be the driver in the second split 😃
- @OldTreeCreeper Nah second split I'm going to try and make it up into Master, I still might this split. have 2 weeks to get the RP. I've played a few matches in Diamond it's not terribly difficult.
