If the game is as bad as some would have you believe, why do they still play it? Addiction? Is it really not as bad as they say? My view is a person's mental state is entirely up to them. If they want to be negative they'll be negative. We have people in here that continuously post negative stuff but when I bring a counter argument and actual information and data they won't talk about it. They'd much prefer other miserable people join them to feel better about themselves. I feel sorry for them. I've been there with other games and remember how miserable I was.
As for your ideas- I like the first 2 but not the last. 3rding is a part of a BR. Knowing how to minimize the chances you will be 3rded is a skill. Taking clean, quick fights is a skill. I see way too many people trying to farm damage and then complaining about someone rolling up on them.

@hayhor Great reply mate. Nicely put. Totally understand your POV, well explained. My thing with 3rd partying thing is that it’s almost become some folks “only” strat. 3rd partying would always be a thing but to have to consider jumping into one just that litttle bit more before launching into it would make the strategic side of it a bit more interesting and also give the weakened team that’s just been doggedly scrapping against another a fighting in chance of countering the 3rd party threat. 3rd partying absolutely has to be part of the game, it is truly part of the make-up of BR’s and Apex itself but just that little tweak to make it a bit less of a simple task would be refreshing.
(Oh, and on the skill ceiling thing - I’ve hit my ceiling and I’m still absolutely dog-water at the game anyway 😃 Hard-stuck plat Solo-Q right here lol. Never the less, even with that I still don’t get fed up with it)
 - 3 years ago@hayhor I agree with you and as soon as I stopped playing is topped complaining here :D

@Renegade_Prime86 A great way to counter it. Simple and to the point. Maybe I just need rehab to kick the Apex habit and I’ll be ok.

@hayhor
While I can agree about the skill ceiling, my question is, how do you know you've truly reached it with apex's current match making and smurfing issues?
It's really hard to say "welp I'm as good as I'm gonna get." When the learning curve is basically non existent, and match after match you're thrown against fake lvl 10 players capable of taking out 6 teams on their own and Dimond ranked players when you haven't even tried going past silver tier.
(It happens in both pubs and ranked)It's also very obvious when you're going against people who clearly out match you.
When I do bother to play ranked and I see the lvl 20 or so smurf that team wipes me round after round, and ends up with more damage that the 130 something player on their team in a bronze lobby, it does not make me feel "at my limit". It makes me feel cheated.
Not cheated out of a win, but cheated out of what could have been a great match. Cheated out of the back and forth, out of the come back, out of the sudden death, and cheated out of the apex experience.
And when that happens, yeah, I'm going to get pissed and I'm going to throw my hat into the fix rank and Mm complain pot.
@XxColdFangxX I totally feel this too and I would love to see this sorted out as well. MM fixes are an absolute and well-overdue priority.
I’d like it if that post-match survey we sometimes see pop after a game that asks “did you enjoy the last match you just played?” expanded on so you can actually type up what was wrong rather than just having and option of “yes” or “no”.

 - 3 years ago@hayhor Why do you always seem to write issues off as user error? It's never the games fault in your opinion and you typically can't wait to come to it's rescue. Where exactly is the "actual information and data" you speak of? For example, you think smm is fine, yet you can't comprehend that "average player" and 95/100 losses doesn't make sense as a stat in a pool of 10mil players. You seem to think everyone is that bad and it's normal. And the average player falls short of even 1 kill per match. You don't see that as a problem even though the game actively forces those numbers onto players with how they are deliberately matched. Another example is how you defended Valkyrie...everyone knows how op she is, except you, since you played her. It's user error for not knowing how to fight her, right? I can go on but I'll stop there.. If you are always going to side with the game, and your game is perfect then why are you here? To tell us all that constantly? And I'm not trying to be mean, but man, the reality is that people who keep defending bad aspects of the game are part of the problem because they are enabling the developer to continue doing what they're doing instead of holding them accountable. Improvements benefit everyone, remember that. Players aren't always right, but they're not always wrong either.
Yes the game is good, that's why people play. But for many it's like an abusive relationship, it's frustrating, yet they keep trying to run the hamster wheel. Addiction is definitely part of it and intentionally part of the game imo, I mean look at yourself. When your away from the game you come here to talk about it with people you don't even know. Then it's off to YouTube, Twitch and Twitter for more Apex stuff until you can play it again. Rinse repeat. You are more addicted that even you realize. And no, you can't just flip a switch and decide to be happy about your poor progress and frustrating matches or bad audio or whatever. It's easy if you don't care, but why play if you don't? One thing I've realized about Apex players are the people who hate and complain about it the most are usually the people who loved it the most at some point, and want it to succeed the most..but now feel betrayed in some way.- hayhor3 years agoHero@Unitee01 Old thread. Don't even remember what I said. If you don't think I complain and defend that's on you. People can have different views. It doesn't make anyone wrong, including me.
- 3 years ago@hayhor I didn't realize a week old thread is considered "old". But ok. You keep doing you, on here, for us all to read, since you can never be wrong because the reality is no one can win against you anyway. Since you do not believe in logic and come to you own conclusions using fandom there's no point in it anyway. And, "on me" ? Bro, you've been defending many bad decisions this game has taken many times over the years, but yeah, that's on me, right? I'll happily link some posts for you, but I don't see the point. Gotcha. Keep drinking the cool aid bruv 😉 So if no one is wrong what are we even doing here? It's not about "views", it's about right and wrong with certain issues. And if you can't see the wrong in the industry, their practices etc, well I guess that's on you, keep going then and keep living your dream 🙂

@Unitee01@Unitee01Peoples take and views on things is just that. You feel a certain way about things as other feels a certain way about things. Does not make either of them wrong. People do not have to follow others train of thought on the game.
Do I think Valk is op I personally would say no. She is quite balanced in some ways. Horizon still holding the golden cup for movement and escape capabilities the only thing valk has over her is ring rotation placement. Both are annoying to fight but I do not think they are op. Every legend holds advantages over others. Which is how it should be there has to be counter legends out there.
Apex is the very first fps game I played on PC other than a few hours of pubg. Since that time I've wracked up over 6k hours in apex and 28k matches played. Does this mean I'm right though with my thought process on the game? It doesn't it is just my view on things with my experience.- 3 years ago
@E9ine_AC I've read many of your posts, you are correct on many of them and you are correct on many topics, yet you got almost no upvotes. A recent one, which is 100% true was earning the 20kill badge. Smart people will know how it's earned, the majority on here still think it's all "how good you are". [Impolite comment removed]
Valk is OP, this is obvious for anyone with a brain stem. Or wait, no, she's not. I'll just keep choosing her either way for easy wins vs the rest...............
