Does anyone know if the community will receive a matchmaking update anytime soon? Specifically, the "stay with team" feature (after matches) and any other updates that will improve the solo queue experience.
The solo queue experience needs to be focused on direly. It's been too long and no action. I hope we hear something before the next season starts.
How often would you use such option and why people can't just to to lobby and add people who pop as latest teammates? #dontbelazy
I personally hardly can remember a teammate I would like to play again and again. Since season 7 I have formed (via in-game or mainly Discord LFGs) like 3 "permanent" 3stacks. Most people somehow like to hop teammates or have some crazy requirements almost like "I am plat 4 but play with current Masters-Preds only".
And even when I did form a team most people actually get bored of winning / playing game as a system, process = much less "creativity" aka no more brainless pushing or actions without agreeing on them.
Nothing besides people mentality will fix soloqing!!!!
While there will be casuals that do not try, don't want to train, don't want to speak with other players (except trashtalking ofc), want to win every game, get every kill, most damage, all badges etc. and with such mentality come into ranked...it is doomed.
Add to that trolls and just genuinely f-up people: your drug addicts, your <70 IQ players, trolls, mentally unstable etc... that's soloqing for you pretty much.
I almost want Respawn to invent logical / mathematical / emotional test with high pass mark as a way to enter Ranked:
Just yesterday I had another player who somehow was P4 yet did not know map places on OLY and had 19k kills on Wraith... how is that possible? oh wait dropping Fragment for 100k times :D

Question 3 in the AMA link above states: "Any plans for improving the feature that allows us to invite players we previously matchmade with?"
Question 3 reply from the dev states: "Yes! We are looking into how we can support keeping the party together via requeue. Can't confirm when that'd go in but we are all for keeping great squads together!"
The feature that I'm referring to is "already" being developed. Hopefully the devs can let the community know soon about the status of these updates. It's been several months.
I am very well aware of the functionality you initially mentioned yet my questions / discussion stands :)
In other words - I don't really miss this function. Tbh re-queue option was enough.
Plus despite of 100k active players base at the time and random matchmaking + requeue gets you same teammates time and time again anyways :D so it is kinda there.
I really hope that EA is super focused now on Apex 2 = game with probably more optimized engine, 21st century worth sound management AND MOST IMPORTANTLY process to deal with hackers more efficiently.
Yeah. I'm not sure what you are fully aware of. I asked a question, and you answered it with a question/discussion. Do you know the "answer" or not? If you don't know the answer, then what is there to question or discuss? :-)
Personally, I'm just curious about if the devs will provide a matchmaking update that includes the SWT feature before next season. Sort of like an ETA (estimated time of arrival).
I understand and respect your opinion, but it's hard to miss something that has never been in the game. Additionally, your statement regarding requeuing with the same players doesn't account for all the dynamics. Such as time of day, peak hours, new players, returning players, etc. Although sometimes you will be requeued with the same players.

Lastly, I don't care about Apex 2, I don't care about 21st century sound management, and MOST IMPORTANTLY I don't care about hackers/cheaters. Blah, Blah, Blah. It's the same sentiment for most online games. You can make a "Hackers, Cheaters, Servers Anthem" and there will still be hacker, cheater, and server problems for any online game. We want sequels so bad. How did that work out for Overwatch 2, Warzone 2, Destiny 2??? Putting a "2" at the end doesn't mean nothing for a "live-service game". It's just a marketing gimmick. But the game engine most definitely needs improvement.

Also, I've heard rumors about a Titanfall F2P extraction game. Personally, I would rather they focus on that. :-)

Zeus is god of information regarding Apex and fanboys / fangirls should subscribe and watch these before spending they money supporting pros and streamers of this game.
