I seem to have been framed by someone selling computers.

Recently I wanted to come back to play APEX, but unexpectedly found that my account was blocked, so I created a new account to play.
The next day my new account was blocked again, so I started to wonder if there was some cheat program running in the background on my computer.
After testing, there are no strange programs running in the background. I applied for a new account, but unexpectedly it was blocked again the next day.
Later, I chatted with a professional player, and he told me that if a cheating program is used on my computer, the motherboard will be recorded by EA, and no matter what account you open, you will be continuously banned from using it.
I just remembered that the computer I am using now is a second-hand computer bought from someone else on October 15, 2023. So, I sent EA the following letter, along with the conversation I had discussing purchasing the computer. Hope EA can help. But EA is still unwilling to unlock my account.
I would like to ask everyone, is there any way to recover my game account in this situation?

The following is the email I sent to EA

"I just asked a pro gamer and one of them told me that if you have a cheat program turned on on your computer and it is caught, the hardware (motherboard) will be locked. I have enough evidence to prove that my computer was bought second-hand from someone else on October 15, 2023. My computer was bought from out of town, so the IP zones used by the game before and after the above time are also different. If this is the reason why I have multiple accounts locked out in a row, please let me know and help me unlock my account. If this is indeed the reason why my account is locked, please let me know why. I would replace my computer's motherboard immediately because I don't want to suffer an unreasonable disaster. Because I kept creating new accounts, I was banned within a day, all background programs were detected and there were no cheats. The four pictures below show the process of a buyer purchasing this second-hand computer through FACEBOOK. They are price negotiation and arrival. The timeline shows that negotiations began on October 14, 2023, with conversations regarding arrival and purchase taking place."

Some tips below (Point 9 in particular), maybe you need to have a talk with the seller.

    Account Safety

How to keep your account and hardware safe 101:

    1. Use strong passwords for you game account.
    2. Use strong passwords for the associated E-mail account. Keep track of your e-mail accounts and what they are connected to.
    3. Do not share either of these passwords with others. Keep note of your passwords in a safe place.
    4. Enable two factor identification for both the game and associated E-mail accounts.
    5. Do not let others use your game account (Friends and family alike) because if they do something wrong on your account it is still your fault, nobody wants to have a sanction on their account because somebody else did or said something wrong.
    6. Do not use internet café’s to access your account and play, you do not know what software is on the hardware there, you do not know if the hardware at the cafe has a hardware ban and this can affect your account in a negative way.
    7. I would suggest only accessing your account with your own trusted hardware, gaming on another person’s hardware brings some of the same risks as above.
    8. I would also suggest not letting others use your hardware in order to play with their account, because if they get a hardware ban on your hardware while using it, it can have a negative affect on your account.
    9. Buying used hardware comes with risks as well. The hardware could have been banned and this is not an EA problem but a problem between the buyer and the seller.
    10. Play nice with others, in other words do not de-mean, harass or bully others in Chat or over voice coms, both can be reported and that can also have a negative effect on your account.
    11. Use non-offensive user/gamer tag/club tags, if you get a warning about such change it, doing otherwise can lead to a negative effect on your account.
    12. Play fair, boosting and teaming are cheating.
    13. Play fair using cheating software or hardware is not fair and is really only cheating yourself.
    14. Do not buy and or sell accounts, do you really know what has been done with the account? What cyber info are you giving up? What risk is there that the account is bunk. What is the risk to your hardware?
    15. Re-read the Terms of Service agreement and the Terms of Sale agreement you agreed to play this game and adhere to it. https://www.ea.com/legal/user-agreement and https://www.ea.com/legal/terms-of-sale

About points 7, 8, and 9, I do know that not everyone can afford multiple hardware setups for the entire family and there is trust that has to be there, talking about the does and don’ts on the use of shared hardware should be done so everybody can enjoy what they do on the hardware and everyone can be safe.

If you believe you have been hacked take appropriate measures to secure your account and associated E-mail account https://help.ea.com/en-gb/help/account/secure-hacked-ea-account/

If you believe that a sanction (Suspension/Ban) placed on your account was by mistake you should reach out to the Terms of Service team https://help.ea.com/za/help/account/information-about-locked-or-banned-or-suspended-accounts/

I listed all kinds of evidence I had, but EA was unwilling to review the evidence I listed. I also hope that he will tell me that this computer has a cheating program, and I am willing to replace my motherboard for this matter.
What EA is doing now is to ban my account continuously. This is unfair.

    @tony770314

I understand where you are coming from and this situation is not a good one.

However I do not think the EA is treating you unfairly.

In todays age of computing systems it is always recommended to purchase hardware from trusted licensed retailers. Buying used hardware from private individuals carry varied risks. You do not know if the hardware has hardware bans on it from different companies, you do not know what hidden software could be installed and mining you for your personal information to include banking, credit card, social networks, identity, etc.

I really do think that one should inform themselves about purchasing PC's and or consoles from private individuals about the possible consequences of doing such. Why are they selling the hardware, does it have any problems, has it been banned by a company/s.

I do not know the situation that you are in however I believe that the seller was not honest with you about the PC and that is not an EA issue. I do not know if you can seek recourse with the seller but if they misrepresented the sale of the item to you then this could be considered fraud, that is unless the caveated the sale as, purchase as is. Again this is not EA's fault.

I myself never ever purchase used hardware as it is not safe for the reasons I mentioned above and many others as well.

Your only course of action are to submit an appeal to the ToS team Terms of Service team https://help.ea.com/za/help/account/information-about-locked-or-banned-or-suspended-accounts/

However if they have given you a final decision then there is nothing else to be done from EA's side as far as I know.

Please note here on AHQ we cannot assist with account actions outside of providing you with advice and links to the proper channels.

At that point I would attempt a return of the PC to the seller and try to get your money back.

Best of luck and follow the tips I have provided in my previous post to better protect yourself (cybersecurity wise) in the future.
