Respawn wanted to keep their favorite streamers be happy with Streamer building? I absolutely see no other reason, the most toxic n dumb Hot drop building wasn't touched. I just don't get how you keep that crap for the sake of those streamers. Way to go on WE update.
@RockDokRockIn most of my lobbies it is that bad. Multiple forum people that have played with me can vouch for this. Most hate WE for this reason.
I have zero interest in play loot legends only to get rolled by a fully red shielded pred 3 stack too. I want a balance of looting and fighting. When the lobby is way to aggressive on drop this is ruined.
@hayhor If they wasn't confident in their drop skills I could understand it.
However when they wait until you're directly above the POI and pull this crap it is a bit of a headscratcher moment lol.

I would rather lose my battles against people with equivalent weapons, which is why I am much better at Arenas than BR. As soon I get a 'blue' Hemlock I am deadly. First round though I usually go running around for materials as I am meh with all the 'white' weapons (I usuallly go Volt or G7, depending on the map).
This is why I don't like hot dropping. Trying to down someone with a Bocek while they are firing a R301 or LSTAR at you ... no thanks.
Maybe in pubs but in ranked there is no way I am immediately going to lose 24RP because you want to play TDM.
None of you are *wrong* per sae but it depends what you get matched with.
I don't bother with ranked. Additional skins and dive emote doesn't really make it worth it. I'd reconsider if I had a proper team who actually communicated but with randoms it's a total waste of time. Oh look, another solo dropper. No thanks.
So I play random pubs. It's just that, random. If they want to go YOLO and drop somewhere crazy I'm fine with that. My expectations are pretty low so I'll just go with the flow and try to have fun with whatever scenario I end up with. It's a simple as that.
The answer, for me, is to find some pals you are on a good wavelength with and play as a group. That's what I would ultimately like to do but it's proven elusive so pubs it is. It's a total gong-show and it's not going to change because you don't like it. I have noticed that solo dropping has been much more common over the last week-10 days so I guess I need to just get used to it. I think they are toxic ****s but that's on them. I'm sure they don't care what I think.

@hayhor Wow, that's unlucky. I find the bow difficult/awkward to use at the best of time. 1 on 1 in a room I'll just use fists.

@RockDokRockYeah I normal dont even pick a bow up. First bin tho I spammed everything. Then since I had it I tried it.........yeah you know those times you know you are making a mistake but do it anyway.....that was it!
