I thought cross play would be good but..

I was looking forward to cross play. I play on Xbox and there's more players on ps4 so I thought I would be matched up more with similar skilled players but that doesn't seem to be the case. 

What I find is that most ps4 players I've come across don't play as a team and some tend to play solo and go off on their own. I didn't used to get this anywhere near as much before.

I also find that there's a lot of players that are much higher skilled as I see a lot more predator trails than I used to in some games.

I know it's just the beta version at the moment but it's not quite what I hoped it would be so far. Although the waiting times are shorter which is good.

    It is crazy how many ps4 players go off on their own! I've never known anything like it. Seems you get a lot more team players on Xbox.

    @Marge010 I thought more players would mean more even matches from SBMM. Boy did I get bamboozled. Its no better than before and it may even be slightly worse. Every time I play I see my stats sliding further and further down to depths they haven't been since season 1.

    Curiously the first couple of days my kdr and ad flatlined, but since then it's been fine (I'm on the London server). I had a 'purple patch' on Saturday getting 2-3 kills per games as opposed to my normal 1-2 but yesterday was back to my normal standard.

    I HAVE noticed more players who don't seem to know how to play (not low-skilled players). Like jumping backwards from the initial drop or dropping with the squad and then going solo.

    I've also noticed the return of some *hole behaviour, like being punched by TMs (I have a rule - you punch me unless you're punching me out of the ring, I quit) and being pinged as a enemy.

    I've found my stats have gone down a bit since crossplay started. I get a lot of players dropping solo and I'm seeing an increase in players with predator trails and 20 bomb badges. Every now and again I get a good set of team mates but it does seem very random and all over the place at the moment. Hopefully that's because it's in the BETA stage and it will improve later.

    @EdwardDLuffy I had my first game where someone tried punching me off a cliff yesterday. Barely survived. I then had another game 10 minutes later where I was sniping from the diving board and my squadmate punched me off. Wtf?

    On a side note, PS4 players definitely go off alone more often, annoy squadmates more often and do more finishing moves than Xbox players.

    @aisthebestletter It really is dumb. I got a great sniping position on a crane and my Octane TM jump-towered there too, punched me, did the up and down dance and punched me off the crane. I quit before I hit the ground. If you don't want to play as a team then that's fine, but I do, so I quit and hope to get better TMs for the next game.

    You probably missed the post when me and a Caustic were 'us v them' when the Caustic punched me off the roof into the ring, then stood looking at me as I just stayed in the ring to die, then came in the ring to grab my banner! He didn't win ...
