I don't agree your opinion.
Apex Legends isn't that precise of a first person shooter, it's more movement based, yet games like Tom Clancy's Siege, PUBG (console and PC), Overwatch (PC lobbies) do not offer aim assistance for controller users even while against mouse & keyboard users (PUBG doesn't even have aim assist on consoles).
Yet those controller players didn't quit playing those games.
I have personally played controller for 20+ years, I know what aim assist is. There is a difference when trying to enjoy video games with friends and/ or using a controller against players, even those who don't have the assistance.
This argument that mouse & keyboard user's have the "ability to do more" isn't a good justification to give all controller users always running software, because then all the controller users wouldn't be using, you know, a controller.
Apex Legends controller users are starting to outnumber mouse & keyboard players on PC.
A controller with aim assist is one thing, but when you know how to take advantage of it is another. Controller isn't that good at looting, but boy you better watch out in close quarters range. 240 FPS, all low settings and a controller is the easiest gameplay you can get in Apex Legends.
Everytime I hear someone say, "Controllers need aim assist while on PC because the mouse & keyboard is so much better", but then that person is playing on PC, why don't they use this massive advantage input called mouse & keyboard then?
Controller users that continue to contradict themselves are getting old. I played Apex Legends mostly with a controller, I know directly both sides of inputs as I currently play with a mouse & keyboard.
