If I block someone on Xbox why does it still matchmake me

I’ve blocked some idiots on this. Mostly the abusing mic chat types. And I’m positive I’ve been seeing them again on my team since. Does matchmaking not read your block list and stop you teaming with them??

    @xxS2NxxPuGzxLThey are two entirely different systems, Xbox live is independent of the Apex game. So you might have blocked them on xbox live and they won't be able to message you on xbox.. But you can still potentially get matched with them in game.

    @Koochi-Q I had that happen a few weeks back.. I just picked up his downed banner and carried it through the entire ranked match with no intention of spawning him back him. He had chewed me out qin a previous round because he got himself killed pushing a fight solo. I had no gun and could not do anything. Nothing like making him sit there for 20 minutes unable to do anything about it.

    @xxS2NxxPuGzxL No it doesn’t. It notifies the xbox system that you rather not be associated with those ppl on that system, but it unfortunately doesn’t outright block them from your matchmaking due to that being in the hands of the game maker. I don’t even know if it even slightly less make it so you won’t get paired up.

    I had the same thing (99% of the ppl I play with in Apex I block it seems) happen months ago. Blocked some ppl, loaded another game (think it was in december) around 4/5am (so slow hour), got into the same team as one. Instantly quit the game

    I accepted this as a viable solution cos, that’s fantastic 🤣

    seriously though. This game needs the ability to block bad users...

    @xxS2NxxPuGzxL Lolz if that were the case I might’ve blocked around .0001% of my server XD. That might not seem alot but we’re still talking about tens or maybe even in the hundreds of players XD

    😂 Same probably but when you keep getting idiots on mic or just off playing on their own not team then it’s needed
