- dSKyNafinchin4 years agoHero (Retired)@PlayingALGS One would be hard pressed to find a dev staff that would work for free, and create/maintain games with no income. Would you work full time, for free? I know I would not. I have bills to pay
That being said, I have always felt that the prices of in-game items (not just Apex) are a bit ridiculous. I cant justify spending $20 on a dang skin for a weapon/character. I like to get more bang for my buck. If more stuff was in the $1-$3 price range, maybe even up to $5, I would probably be willing to spend some more money. Currently though, I have been playing Apex since launch, and have only spent around $40-$50 on the game. If items were more reasonably priced, that number would likely double, at least, Lmao I really love the Respawn's faith.
"No Pay to Win but Cosmetics"
I saw many P2W games and they were terrible...
I also respect Respawn Designer's artworks. 🥳
I have just reserved The Apex Legends Art Book (Translated Edition) released today now.
What I mean with the “monetizing the game” there’s a lot but exaggerated a lot 3rd party companies that they boosting for certain amount of money (smurfs accounts). So they make ez money selling thoose accounts.
Also streamer promotes having secundary accounts to play with teammates more lower or similar rank.
I was playing the other day and this person with a voice of referee say: “he got a lot of kill, he got a Twitch channel but his not making any money”.
- I was kind of confused, I play the game because I like it not for money.More money is made off of 'freemium' games by kicking players in their vulnerable reptile stems than actually producing a video game and charging an up front cost for it. Otherwise, it wouldn't be the go to model for wringing cash our of your hands.
There are other ways companies can model games and make plenty of cash, but players have the incessant need to hurl entire video game amounts of funds to buy just one skin. And, you know, they justify it, etc., etc., which nobody cares about. The point is the company finds a way to get people to pay more for a game when they take on the freemium model.
I could be wrong, but I believe what OP is trying to say is that they feel there is a culture among Apex players that values being able to make money from playing Apex, and that within this culture, you are considered to have no value if you are not doing so.
If is this a translation is 10/10. Thanks, is the simple words that’s describes the general mindset of the people I been playing and that not healthy.
- @PlayingALGS My pleasure, I'm glad I was right.
Well Said!! Thank you.
I see the point.
Yes, many people are trying to make money within this game.
They are selling accounts/ boosting/ Teaming etc...
And they are mainly cheaters...
In some countries that is even illegal and they are going to other countries...
It is really shame that in my country it is really easy to find those people.
(For example on Twitter. Also those are very expensive surprisingly...)
My recommendation is don't care about them.
You are playing this game because it is fun isn't it?
That means you are a good player. That's all. 🙂
