@GH0STEDbyMEI think if they just trim some time off of the process of the drop ship appearing int he sky to the respawned player hitting the ground it would improve survivability substantially. I'd just start trimming .5 seconds off the process until they have reached the right point. The less time it takes for you to actually get out of the drop ship, the less time enemy squads have to push you and the less time you're a sitting duck with no armor, gun or anything.
The mobile respawn beacons I don't know if I would change. Managing inventory is a part of the game dynamic and trying to decide whether you need to carry that or nades should be part of managing inventory. THere are some friends I play with in which I carry one because we frequently end up in positions where one of us has been eliminated.
@hayhor It would be nice, but then there is what I mentioned. SO I'm on the fence about that. It's sort of like me and ult. accelerants. I personally prefer to carry 2 of those over 2 nades in my inventory. For me I get more impact with my ult when I play Bang, Gibi or Caustic. Having to make that choice is important.

Hmmm, I think respawning is fine now, with the addition of the beacons. It's ok for the process to be long, because that's what makes nearby teams feel that they can get there in time for the third party. Shortening that duration could probably alter the risk-reward factor too abruptly after a certain point.

By the very nature of battle royale is that death is supposed to be unforgiving.
More respawn opportunities makes the permanent kill less sweet for the victor. Then turns it into a deathmatch with everyone just running in blindly confident of second hand of life. Randoms do that enough already.
What I've learnt is that even if using respawn beacon or mobile beacon.... randoms don't want to bother building up their gear again and just leave. If they're not spawned near their own deathbox or deathboxes full of loot they don't want to start agauin is biggest factor.
Any battle royale team game going to have sudden leavers.
- DarthValtrex5 years agoHero (Retired)@PeterN_UK I get that, but the leaving problem in Apex is huge. If your teammate gets eliminated the odds that they wait for a respawn are slim. I'm trying to suggest ways to trim down on the leaver problem.
It's not bad in ranked but it's horrible in PUBS. If Solo queue you can not allow your teammates to go down. If they do they won't wait around to be respawned.
