So far this season I have only played Ranked, my Randoms have been a mixed bag but for the most part they stick around and there are times I was able to revive and or respawn them and then rotate out of the lost cause fight (I had to IGL them) to go on from 10th place or worse and get to top 5 with some KP. Even pulled off a few wins because I was able to get my team back and have them listen to some real positional play strategy. only had about a handful of games where my Randoms were toxic and or DC-ed because all they wanted to do was push with 0 thought and or could not play and another handful where my team and I were just outclassed.
I think (hope) that as the ranked season progresses it will get better. Lately I have been having more Randoms using comms correctly (non-toxic) then the last few seasons.
Common sense dictates that the rats will be had for breakfast.
The old system Diamonds and Masters (inc Preds) will be there waiting for the NOOB Diamonds and will knock them off their socks.
I think if they get there it will be a bitter pill for them to swallow as they get pounded on by the true Diamonds, Masters and Preds and sent back down to Plat.
Again I do not advocate ratting, I do advocate smart but aggressive play.
They will not stay there, unless they learn how to balance aggressive play with smart play and have the skills to match. That does not change at that level.
I do foresee that when that happens Plat and Gold lobbies will be a lot more interesting.
We will have to see how it all plays out over the next while.
@Asmodeus566Mate you do realize that the entry cost are the same on every lvl right ? So yea literrly every player can climb to masters with 0 shots… all it takes is time
You hit top 10 = pluspoints.
You could even do the math and give a realistic timeframe how long it would take avg joe to get to masters.
The true diamonds will also not kick them back to plat because they will sit in masters and the whole plat tier will just move up atleast to diamond if not higher…
Just wait, either ranked will die because people don’t wanna waste their lifetime sitting arround or the population of diamond and master will multiply by a lot compared to last seasons
mqybe that’s the plan all along, boost people’s ego by giving them ranks they don’t deserve.

Lets see how it all pans out in about 70 days or so. That would be more than enough time for the rats to scrabble there way up (about 10x so)..
