Is there ANY other way to get the heirloom?

Is there ANY way to get Gibby's heirloom without putting out the cost of a car payment all at once?

I'd like it, and don't mind spending some $, but close to $200??? That's just sad.

  • It's EA dude, they want you to spend money on the game. You wont get cool stuff for free ^^

I've read that you get guaranteed Heirloom Shards after 500 Pack openings. But its Luck based so you can get it even with your first packopening.

For example im lvl 500 and played Pre-Season + Season 3-7 and still didnt got a Heirloom ^^

@DarthValtrex Agreed on the basic idea that buying the event is likely less expensive than buying Apex packs expecting to get shards.

But "hard to get" usually means a drastic, no-life, in-game grind. A lot of games have an heirloom concept, especially MMO type games. It shouldn't mean "I've got $200 to spend per legend and I bought up enough packs to get Wraith's heirloom."

Haha, no. Actually theres more profit in putting heirlooms into loot boxes rather then selling them. The illusion of having the chance to get a heirloom in the next lootbox makes a player spend much more money Ingame. Google for "Operant conditioning by Skinner" thats a system every game abuse that have loot boxes.

  • @DarthValtrex The idea behind heirloom is that they are made to milk money, nothing to do with premium content. Give them a 50 dollar price tags and they would be still desirable. Now of course when you give them a 200 dollar rip-off price tag, they would be so rare lmao

    Well yes and no.

Firstly, the collection events are designed for you to get one or two items you want or just try your luck with a few packs. The heirloom at the end is only for people who have gotten the entire collection and are willing to spend enough money for that.
@DeaconZnick If you save up about 32000 Crafting Metals you can "craft" the entire event and get the heirloom.

If the heirlooms were THAT available there'd be no value at all.

Personally I'm okay with this system.

  • You know why these predatory monetization exist in the first place? People participating in the said practices and acting like 'I am okay with this'. Oh please, go off with your fat wallet.
