Is there any particular reason why they took out King's Canyon?

It's been a while indeed.

But I'm just curious, have the devs said anything official about why they do this?

I might miss something. But so far it's only players' opinions.

    Monster invasion. Evacuate immediately.

After the Repulsor attack on King's Canyon and the various attempts to rebuild it proved too much trouble than they were worth, the games were moved to World's Edge.

We wanted a new map and they gave us World's Edge but they might rebuild King's Canyon again.

@SpyrosFPS It's not the technical answer I was hoping for, but did they took out King's Canyon just to create a storyline? Sounds silly lol.
  • @bosourd  probably just to change up the game, if this whole "pve mode" stuff is true i imagine  kings canyon will be the setting for it, because as stated the repulsor tower being destroyed allows all the predators to enter KC, thus giving it a solid lore background tying into the apex story.

    That's my theory anyway haha.

  • They said in a video on youtube not too long ago that this is not the end of kings canyon so im guessing they are just giving us worlds edge on its own for a while so people get used to it then add kings canyon back into the mix

  • @bosourd Maybe they don't want to tell you Kings Canyon won't come back because they are working on a new map and don't want the people to get hyped as it's too early.

I honestly miss Kings Canyon less and less. If it would become available again, I would probably play it but get bored within a week or so, unless it has some interesting twists. I would prefer a new map
