This is the problem. Cheaters think they're not cheating! They've convinced themselves it's fair, or decent, or justified in some way. I will shame cheaters for running down players, returning, new, young, old, that just want to play Apex while they're healing or reviving cause they have walls. Yes, I will cause no one else will. Until there's a flow of skill, and hopefully players will hold onto that. Until players feel 'outplayed' .. and 40/50%+ of players don't feel the need for auto aim / walls. It's for the sake of a gg, instead of a desperate Win. This way, the Win goes to the squad who earned it. Instead of cheaters hiding and third partying the last 3-4 squads fighting, or they just hide in a bunker staring at walls. See it time and time again.. it's not clever.
If the player base responded, many of the cheaters could be snuffed out.
We need something that detects when any spoof is being used, and immediately punishes that acct.. look into the ones being used, then block their access one by one! let's take action!
Streamers and top ranked players are actually sick of it as well. I've spoken to many that have stopped, switched.. i mean.. walls / auto aim is so obvious and probably boring to use.
- 4 years ago@7cyanide I’ve actually switched to Fortnite now, haven’t played apex much this season…I think I’m on battle pass lvl 25 and only from arenas…I have played maybe 15 games of battle royale total…I’m done. I didn’t even buy the battle pass for my second account. My six friends that played lol the time too and streamed, they have stopped too. Good job Respawn in giving a crap for your week one apex players,….I spent an average of 300$ Per season and you all of us did….not a dime anymore, not until you do something about the cheating and exploits!

^I see why people switch to Fortnite. Honestly, it's a pretty good game, if more cartoony. But play is superior in many ways.
It's not cheating, it's that Apex is stupidly scored and not balanced. And I don't just mean character balance, I mean in the end game, Im pumping point blank purple barrel EVA shots into another character, and they're unloading an R-99 on me, and it's a stupid DPS race that is the dullest experience ever. I got dropped 1v1, but I didn't even hear his shield crack after not missing any of my own shots (Let's face it, getting a full spread with EVA at point blank range does not take skill so this is hardly a brag). Probably because he had, you know, the perfect loadout, or maybe a red shield versus my gold shield. It really doesn't matter, it was top level boring with guns that do near zero damage because of all the crying people do that weapons do TOO MUCH, it was the gun's fault I died! Etc. etc.
One day, there will be a game when you get shot, you get killed. Or maybe in 2 shots, just because of entertainment. Until then, people can feel good about slappy fights.
Anyway, I've had less fun winning games I have in Apex then losing a lot of other games. It's a sign, I think, as much as I've liked this game in the past, I'm going to tap platinum, get my battle pass done so I don't have to pay for another season if I come back, and move on.
It's not like this game isn't popular, but what's popular isn't necessarily good. It's what people want to play. And the modern game is mostly geared for people with thin skins, I guess? I mean, maybe I have a thin skin? But I doubt it after putting up with 6 seasons of this. I'm pretty clear that whatever changes come, they won't matter.
