    @RBMK_ReactorHey,
    50 Humans died immediatly,
    About 4000 died with cancer because Chernobyl,
    Worldwide Million of ppl have to live with long time consequences...

    So yes, it could happen that anybody feels disturbed of your Name and i think this Person is right.

    But a ban is too much and in my opinion they should request you to change the Name.
    I dont think you choose this Name for a bad reason and if there wasnt the nuclear catastrophe in 1986 the name would be ok, but sadly it happens.

    You are of course free to appeal again, although in your case I suspect you'll need to just wait out your suspension.

    You likely also will want to change your name to one that doesn't reference a tragic historical event.

  • You do wonder about some people. Over the last couple of months I've noticed an increase in tags with 'Russia' and 'Putin' included.

    Please need to grow up and chose a gamer tag based on an amalgamation of their favourite anime characters 🙂

    I am well aware of the Chernobyl tragedy heck yeah I am Ukrainian too! The fact that EA left out other players who clearly harass others by their stupid username and come to me straight away with a BAN is absurd! but nevertheless thank you! I made an appeal but they immediately replied with a no what a joke!

  • @EA_David
    I did.. I appealed and they immediately replied with a no. this is just to showcase what a joke EA has become but yeah thank you tho

    I wonder who needs to grow up... I created my account back in 2017 and been using Chernobyl as my username ever since. I am Ukrainian too btw... so I guess you better save your words and know the circumstances before talking...

    I would contact Steam directly to see if they can help. They have great support, EA , no, just no...

    First the issue you're dealing with is directly an automated system. Someone didn't like what you either did and/ or your name and script some bots to "report" over and over and went for a walk or another system.

    It's reminiscent of the system that Microsoft uses for Xbox Live, very easy for false reports to ban/ strike unknowing people, just because of mass manipulation.

    I would contact EA support directly, but know that it's mostly outsourced, and not necessarily directly EA you will be talking too. If the support agent is having a good day and isn't biased towards the name, you could get an unban, it's really random.

    I would write a BBB report and leave a phone number to get contacted directly by an EA community manager.

    Nothing is wrong with your name.

    Thank you for understanding! like I mentioned above I am well aware of the Chernobyl disaster and I am Ukrainian myself too, I reached out for EA's support and they replied like after an hour with a NO! they didn't even give me the option to change it, it's a straight ban! ps: I've been using this nickname since S2 launched! I believe there is no point in contacting them again, I knew everyone was calling EA a joke recently and now they confirmed it even further!
    Thank you tho

    @RBMK_Reactor

    I would fight it.

    Contact BBB, Steam and make it well known what happened on Twitter and other social media sites. Like post a copto to twitter with a bunch of hashtags etc.

    They can only get away with this if people accept it, don't give up fighting for your rights. There is nothing wrong with your name in my opinion. Sure, people might get mad at it, but others get mad at the color blue.

    Someone will always hate something about someone else. Doesn't mean we need to block it. Elon bought Twitter just for this same reason. We don't need to block everything just because someone doesn't like it.

    This doesn't look like it'll go anywhere constructive, so we'll lock it down.

    @RBMK_Reactor I'm not sure if it's intended, but your messaging indicates you're under the impression the account is permanently banned but I don't believe that's the case. You should be informed of the duration in the initial mail. If you weren't, can you DM me?

    You may also want to check your archives for previous emails from us, generally a rename would not warrant a ban, so I'd suspect there were previous sanctions.

    I'll also recommend again to change your name, as if you keep it as is, it may get reported again.
