Is using overwolf overlay cheating?

So i just moved my account from xbox to PC, and ive seen streams and players use overwolf Overlay, i personally play in streamer mode for the sole reason that it gives crucial information when teamfighting(like my ally got knocked by a pathfinder/ so i know he should be weak ..etc) anyways im wondering if using the overlay is considered cheating and if its bannable.. i want to install it becuase it shows the rank and the name of the people you kill in game.. and that could be a good player of adding new players from PC... since i got no friends to play with now that i switch to PC id like to add high level/ranking players to play with and thats a good way i thought of meeting them but i am worried i might get banned for installing it...i have read multiple posts and most say it is fair play and whitelisted app but those posts are all over 3 or 2 years ago so id like to get oficial confirmation before installing it since my account has over 100K Kills and I dont want to risk it being it banned.  thanks in advance <3
