- @WreckingVi Nah, they are not gonna waste time on any of that. Ea itself have allowed people to "soft cheat" by enabling Cronus and Xim users.
They only care about you using more money on the game, and the odds are high that even if you cheat and spent ton of money in this game they are not going to ban you since I have seen bunch of 500lvl with heirlooms cheating with no worries.
So to put it bluntly, I'm stuck playing this game until something better comes. @WreckingVi The hilarity in your statement is that doubling the security team would be hiring one person š .
- @KarvaRausku I thought Xim & Cronus was an instant ban?
- DarthValtrex5 years agoHero (Retired)@KarvaRausku This is simply not true. They care deeply about cheating and exploits. They really focus on trying to provide a good and fair gaming environment for honest gamers.
EA simply is not very public about how they handle cheaters in game.
Cheating is by far one of the worst things for their game. It leaves people with a negative experience and frustration. That in turn decreases the amount of time people spend playing Apex, which ultimately hurts the companies revenue/profits. If you think it's not a concern and not something they work hard to combat, your vastly mistaken.
All FPS games have cheating. It's a fairly complex issue to deal with. - @rockyboy1998 Nah, they don't count them as cheating since they use external software / mod and it doesn't alter the code.
I'm already at the point that I take the cheaters as they are, extra challenge for me since reporting them does nothing. Like certain individual that you can not name here or your post gets deleted. - PsyhiX695 years agoSeasoned Ace@DarthValtrex Respand does not care. Just look at streams of Rogue and Dropped they are top-tier predators constantly battling not other players but cheaters. Today they had enough and just ended the steam.
- @DarthValtrex Problem is they act like they care but they are not focusing it. Billion dollars companies can't deal with some cheaters from their basements with 15$ cheat app is beatable if they wanted to beat them. Riot and Valve are doing great, Epic doing much better. Activision and EA are the worst. Even Bungie stepped it up.
- DarthValtrex5 years agoHero (Retired)@WreckingVi It's not that simple and cheating is in very single FPS game on the market. They do care and they do take quite a bit of action. I'm not going to elaborate anymore on the topic.

While it's absolutely understandable to be frustrated that cheaters are still around, it's certainly not the case that this is due to a lack of care or focus.
This is an ongoing battle and will likely continue to be one as long as there are competitive multiplayer games out there.
This article was linked elsewhere on AHQ earlier but may provide a bit more insight into some of the investigations and activity that take place behind the scenes. As DarthValtrex mentioned it's not often something that's commented on publicly, and personally I found the monthly numbers listed in the article pretty enlightening.
For those that slip through the cracks in the meantime, your reports are as always very much appreciated.
You know what? I read what you wrote and honestly, it did change my mind a bit. I mean so many of us are so bitter because we put in work and consistently get demolished by aim-snappers who stare at loot so long you can tell they canāt name half the guns in the game. We should all do our part to at least spectate a little bit after we drop if something felt off and report these folks. Take a video and throw it online if youāre feeling particularly industrious. Ultimate, @DarthValtrex I agree with you that making games is tough and they do actually care about us having a good time. There will always be chuckleheads lookin to make a quick buck with their cheat tech feeding off peopleās insecurities. Then again weāve been tellinā people to āgit gudā so long we shouldnāt be surprised. Letās evolve and start sayin āgit honorableā. Thanks for the uplifting post and optimism, by the way. Needed that!
