    This thread got a bit too intense, and there were a few too many personal shots taken, so we're going to lock this down. Y'all know the rules, disagreement is fine, but keep things civil and lay off the insults. 

    @Wingmannedbro I believe they're referring to this line: I personally would interpret this quote as an admission of using said exploit:

    "With so many people abusing this glitch and the inner urge to climb the ranks being ruined by it, let me ask you this. What is a player to do? 
    When I’m Rome(sic) is my answer."

@F1YBYN1GHT I like how you reworded your post to make it much more ambiguous as to whether or not YOU were dashboarding. You sly dog you.

But still. I challenge several of the basic assumptions in your post. First of all... Patching. Games. Takes. Time. It boggles my mind how many people seem to think that fixing an issue with the game is like flipping a light switch. Take for instance the issue of muzzle flash. It's been a complaint, and it's not been fixed yet because the muzzle flash is connected to the lighting for the entire game. Just because an issue is known, doesn't mean that acceptably fixing it is a matter of tapping a few keystrokes before lunch.

Secondly. I'd take the opposite side of the "who spends more in the store" bet. Without the data to back it up, it's impossible to know, but I would wager that people in lower ranks male more purchases than those in higher ranks because they want to appear better than they are.

And finally.... ego is still there buddy. Maybe I just missed the memo, but I was under the assumption that this game was about exciting gunplay with squad focused tactical elements. This is the Apex forum right? I didn't wander into the boards for "poster decorating simulator 2020" did I? Ranks and badges are a nice perk for putting time in and performing well, but if you measure respect and success by your banner in Apex, then you might need to re-evaluate a few things.

Reword your post all you want, this is what it actually says....

"Respawn,
I am skilled enough at your game to reach the top rank (allegedly), but I don't feel nearly as special this season since other people have cheated their way to my echelon of stardom. As a result, I've decided to start cheating as well, because how else will random strangers on the internet know to respect me and kiss my shoes when they see my banner before a match. Since I measure my worth in pixels, I spent real world dollars to make myself look prettier while I was abusing and exploiting this flaw in your game. Now I am upset because that money may go to waste, because I was under the false impression that you were ineffectual at your jobs. If you keep offending the 1% of your players that I belong to (allegedly) your game will die, because how could you possibly afford to carry on when only supported by 99% of your honest players."

No amount of re-wording is going to fix the core message that you are unfortunately trying to get across.

@Gabrielmojo26 be nice to the mics, they weren't cheap.

I don’t think you know how the data works based off your last answer. The fact that you were making the assumption that I believe the 1% will hold there game shows that you are putting a lot of thought into this just to discredit whatever I have to say. Long story short the devs have had all the time they would need to fix such a trivial exploit, yet they haven’t. I believe once a top player reaches the top rank in a game they tend to be more committed to said game. Which would make it easier for an individual to support(buy) from the community in which they find more belonging. Originally when I posted this I was heated about how the devs are playing judge when like I’ve said they are an accessory to the issue and with EAs past dealing of greed it’s no surprise that they would hold off a patch if the data indicated a chances of a higher profit. Personally I don’t care if they withhold My season rewards because like I said, OG pred over here. My defense of this exploit is simple, cheating is when some has an unfair advantage. This problem is across all platforms but instead of fixing it they focus on profit driving events that further my argument. I won’t stand for hypocrisy from this dev team, they need to own there mistakes, period.

    @F1YBYN1GHT And I think your getting defensive because you came here expecting sympathy but got pushback instead.

    Blaming the developers does not absolve you of your actions. If you could have got to pred without exploits, then why use them? If you don't care about rewards, then why post?

    Seriously. This entire post is you trying to defend people (including yourself) that came by their ranks dishonestly. Your method for doing so is to blame the developers for not fixing it right away?

    I saw somewhere... where exactly escapes me at this moment, that the reason dashboarding is possible, is because it is a forgiveness system so people don't lose rp for game crashes, disconnects, etc. I'm sure that they could have, as you suggested, fixed dashboarding early in the season. However if the fix was to eliminate forgiveness for disconnecting, how many others would be here complaining that they lost ranks from server issues? These things take time, and I highly doubt we need to go so far into tinfoil hat territory to assume it's been left in for profit.

    But what do I know. After all, I'm not an "og pred" so my opinions may not be so valuable as yours oh glorious one percenter.

      Bro no sympathy here. Hell I remember the first season ranked came out they took away the whole play list over something lesser than this issue. All I’m saying is they should have just taken away loss forgiveness altogether and avoided this whole fiasco. I mean now the game is flooded with nearly 10x the amount of predators as last season which lessen the value of ranked in my opinion. I’m just saying they need to own up to there short comings and stop threatening punishment to the people that are using this in game flaw. It’s not the same realm as aimbot, and I throughly believe that they left this unchecked for a reason. I mean now that there’s more predators this season it only helps them because it gives those who made it a bolstered sense of belonging for the game. Although I don’t like the exploit there’s no doubt in my mind that there were wide spread community pros because of it. SBMM is affected by this as well and helps bring people who aren’t supposed to be that ranked higher up, people might wanna buy more cosmetics to stroke there own banner egos to go along with there new pred badges. I’m just saying, I’ve got to say something if i see judgement being cast on those who aren’t entirely at fault. End of story

        @F1YBYN1GHT Well in that case, I take my leave from this thread then. Debate is futile, as we are not on the same page here.

        I don't care if it's not an aimbot. Exploitation and bug abuse are well known common forms of cheating across any game you play. Cheating is cheating. Those who will face judgement day are, in fact, cheaters and deserve their comeuppance. Just because the liquor bottle is on the table doesn't mean you need to take a swig from it. End of story.

      f you work a 9-5 and your neighbors sell drugs, you don't start selling drugs because they have nicer cars than you. Well.... maybe you do, but you certainly don't expect to dodge jail time when you get caught because you "had to adapt".
