Also, play in pre-made squads where possible. I had 2 livestreamers and a friend I played with once I learned the game and we all started learning each other's playstyles and to communicate with each other. That's something I miss now since all of these people left the game, but I digress.
I got every YouTube video I could find of firing range drills that help improve tracking and aim. I also put the dummies on full combat and practice taking a building before quitting in the firing range.
Also, fps eye training and esports health warmup videos helped me improve a lot as well. Eye training videos will give you a red ball to follow with your eyes. Esports health warmups have hand stretches you can do developed by doctors hired by top esports teams to coach them on keeping their hands and arms in shape and warmed up. A search on youtube will find a lot of these for you.
If you're a pc player there are several fps aim programs that have drills you can do.
When in the actual game I always go from firing range to bot royale to mixtape to pubs to ranked (when I was playing ranked). Going in this order tends to build you up from the easier stuff to the harder stuff.
Also, try not to get to angry about the cheaters. I have a good feeling their days in this game are numbered, so just keep your skills improving the best you can knowing things will be getting better. Good luck 🙂
I feel if you are not a pro, you can't get better anymore in Apex Legends. I felt between seasons 1 and maybe 15 you could, now... no way. If you are a casual player that has a real job and plays a couple hrs a day for fun - there is now way to improve. Some aspects maybe like rotation, when to engage and disengage, those kinds of things. But I don't believe a casuals KD can improve anymore. At least not in this particular game.
Feels like the pros and streamers made sure of that. They love their free kills.
Back in the day, I would have said practice, practice, practice and you'll get better. But that time has come and gone.
Either except the fact that you are now only fodder for the top percent and be exactly that, watch your KD plummet as well as your self worth or - move on.
I don't see any other options at this point. Sorry.
