I don't know. It would help certain people grind through lower ranks faster, that's a plus. It also, to me, encourages the demented view that the game is only about killing. If you want a game about only killing, then Call of Duty is your game Apex requires strategy and thirsting in hot zones is so detrimental to the game, to me, that you're rewarding the wrong thing.
I'd up the kill cap for all ranks lower than the one you got the season prior. So if you are plat, you get up to 10 kill cap from bronze -gold
- @KelRiever I get your point about it being survival and not just about kills. How ever the way ranked is set up now.. You often have 6+ squads in the final ring. Often times half of which are solos who ran off when their teammates died.
I think the RP system needs an overhaul to deal with the people who camp their way up into platinum. There are so many who don't belong there, the first fight they get into they get downed instantly. It's so bad now that you can not solo queue in ranked after Gold. I've been trying to, I'll get 2-3 wins in a row. Absolutely needs an overhaul for fairer point distribution and to prevent people that just plain and simply do not belong in the higher ranks from getting there by just hiding .- @MassiveVernon It would likely make the top lobbies even harder and increase queue times. But you would be able to solo queue through it.. You would have nothing but good players in the lobbies so it would definitely make things harder.
I just think the RP system can be improved. Things that could be changed..
1. If you get eliminated and your banner expires than the RP you get is for the placement achieved when the banner expires.
2. The LL revive drone should not be stealing kills and assists. At the very least the assist timer should reset when the LL drone starts, so that the player who initially downed the enemy has 5 seconds after the drone revive to get the assist.
3. increase the KP you can get. Possibly doubling it.
4. reduce the Placement RP maybe increase the placement RP for a top 2 finish. So the solo campers are not getting positive RP for placement alone.
