I always thought the cool thing about Battle Royale was that it's an elimination game type. So, apparently, is Knockout. But good luck trying to find out whether you're about to get eliminated or not. Obviously you can get eliminated by getting killed, but you can also get eliminated "just because" based on factors that are absolutely (imo) antithetical to what BR is supposed to be, assuming you value victory over points. In fact, you can stake out a spot, defend it successfully, and STILL not make the cut. What kind of message is that sending to players??? It's just as idiotic in its own way as Three Strikes, Revival, etc., and all the other LTMs that try to trick you into thinking you're playing an arena shooter. I get that people seem to love these things, but why on earth, if people love arena shooters, are they not playing REAL arena shooters? Shooters that maybe aren't as glitchy, or crippled by bad matchmaking, cheaters, and smurfs? Why are people so desperate to escape CoD, Halo, etc., and come to Battle Royale only to abandon the real Battle Royale game types in favor of fully kitted guns, seemingly infinite respawns, and now, with KO, arbitrary and pointless scoring systems that allow you to be a winner one day and a loser the next when you did the exact same thing both days?
