Caustic's gas does seem to be on the weaker side as far as offensive use, so I've been using the traps as more of an early detection system by dropping them as move around the map so I can tell if I'm being tailed by a rival squad.
Yea, I am sure some big streamer will release a Youtube video explaining the best use of his traps.The traps almost are meme material right now.
