Everything Loba, go!

love reviving interaction between loba & revenant. Finally got the chance to do it as Rev. He said something like ”Isn’t this ironic. The guy who killed your parents is keeping you alive” to which she said “(Don’t talk about my parents) If you ever talk about them again...” and... I got interrupted. Right when I was done revving her I was shooting an enemy and she went right for shields so she stopped what she was saying... darnit.

The tac seems a bit much (like I said in another thread, I mostly played her so this is from my own experience). She can’t outpace Octane... but can get a headstart, depending on where she uses her tact. I got so high up onto a platform that I was honestly shocked that it worked. Even with octane’s bounce pad (team that secured the win used it to kill me) the enemy couldn’t make that jump and had to climb up a bit.

The 25/30 second cooldown is also good, so you can’t spam it. Yet ppl dont know how to use her (yea yea first day). But they use her tact to go to another supply bin when there’s an enemy nearby and get downed because they couldn’t get away...

Don’t try to yoink unopened carepackages’ loot. I tried 2 times. I thought that my first attempt wasn’t close enough to the package. Second attempt I did it smackdab right next to one... no dice... unfortunately.

Other than that she seems fine. Even some of her normal skins look quite good imo.

[EDIT] @everybody involved. So I just played a few matches and I have no idea how but now I could actually use jumptower, equip tact and launch it. I first tried equipping while zipping... that worked... then on another tower tried zipping, jumping, equipping and throwing and that also worked... so I have no idea why it didn't go around midnight last night... weird...

I'm really disappointed with her tbh...
From what I was hoping and expecting for from her, I've been really let down.
For me it was mostly about the tactical - I was hoping it would be really good attacking/defensive tool and also really good for mobility.
I've found it really quite disappointing in that regard.
I find the loot aspect merely a small "perc" to using her. That's not quite enough for me.

@1ronKeys I had the same with Rev in the beginning. I only wanted to main him... seriously, not joking, for his passives XD. His ult sucked in my book and the tact was just a good bonus.

I mained him... did well with him... they buffed him, did even better with him, but I still hardly ever use his ult & tact is only when I see path, wraith or caustic. I should train myself for gib as well seeing his gun shield doesnt work now.

But with her, I only do it for teleport. Her ult sucks in my book & her passive is a bonus :P

I’ve yet to find a character who I like for all the abilities. Even my bloodhound has a -1 since I hardly used (I mained him up until Rev came out so before his 3x bigger tact) his tact. It’s now alot better, but it’s an even bigger ‘HEY POINT YOUR GUNS THIS WAY’ sign :P

So no maining loba? Good, one less person hogging her when it’s time to pick...

I personally like all her skills. Tactical is great, two squads are fighting a mile away next to a building? One teleport and im shooting them from its roof. Ult is nice too, you can see good loot from a distance, but you need to go through open terain to get it? Ult is there for you. You just downed a squad but cant get to their chests cos they're guarded by a sniper squad? Dont worry, ult will help you get that evo/gold armor from death boxes.

@Koochi-Q I've found that her ult is extremely useful to help teammates who are freshly rezed to get a shield and a gun (I could see at least upping the item count to three to get ammo too)

And when your in a tight spot and hurting for meds, I was in a fight and our octane wasnt able to get any med or heavy ammo so while I set my ult for him we took the fight and he was able to come in and bail us out when we were too hurt.

Haven't played her, but I have let whoever is take the lead almost always. Seems like a nicely balanced character ATM. However my only issue with her ATM is that due to the overall changed brightness of KC, her teleportation beacon can be hard to see if you're looking at the arc from below. It'd be nice to have it have a black trail directly in the center for easier visibility. Like a white hot flame, but the center is pitch black.

@Koochi-Q I've only played one game of S5 and already liking her as a teammate. In that one game, we came up on a looted area and as I said to myself "I could really do with a sniper mag" she pops her ult an what-do-you-know, there's a purple one that I probably wouldn't have bothered to look for I that area.

Same game, teammate pings the loot chest I'm after, but a late game ring starts closing in on it which really screwed me over. However, the Loba read the situation perfectly and popped her ult just within range inside the ring so I could grab it remotely.

Considering this happened in my first game, I can't wait to see the other ways she is useful as a teammate.

@Koochi-Q I only got to play two matches with her before it decided to force me to play as Bangalore all night regardless of which character I picked >😞 . But came 2nd both matches and really enjoyed using her , definitely potential to be a new main for me although mirage was my go to even before the buff so I’m happy he finally got some love .

Cannot deal with another entire session being forced to play Bangalore tho so I really hope that’s been hotfixed

@MassiveVernon Yeah the forced character swaps should be fixed now from what I've seen.

@Extremejinks Yep I had one match where our Loba was just awesome for getting what we needed. We went on to win too, so it was a great game all round.

@pastaclown Good suggestion.

@1ronKeys What would you change for the tactical?

@1ronKeys I think loba is going to shine in those scenarios where RNG is being unkind to you, i'm sticking to my original opinion that she's pretty niche though.
As for the tactical, i don't know about you...but i feel the range is way too high, and the cooldown too slow. I think 2 charges,and a 15 second cool down per use (30 if you use both charges one after the other) and half the range would have been better personally.

@EA_DavidI dont think she needs any change in her tactical. Right now there's a big time window where she cant shoot (during casting and a bit after teleporting) but i think thats good for balance. If she could shoot during those times she would be too strong. It would be something like: throw teleporter behind cover far away, turn around to shoot, when you're close to dying teleport. It would be too strong. Right now you need to thinkg where and when to teleport, if you just throw it without thinking you're asking to be killed. Happened a few times for my squad, we saw an enemy Loba teleporting in a stupid way. We just took good position to where she would appear and it was almost like an execution squad when she teleported.
Right now her tactical is in great place, its potentialy strong but with its down sides too.
