It's definitely situational but if you die I'm making sure I'm good to go in case other squads are on the way. Even if I do respawn you the orange can make it so you'll never get to your deathbox.
It's situational, there are many possibilities but briefly, If I don't have a chance to get back what I have, then I'd like my friend to collect all the useful things. But if it's possible to be respawn and return to my own dead box, then I want my teammate not to take anything. If he collects everything and leaves me with garbage, I still don't leave the game but Instead of following her in fights, I loot around and he probably dies alone in the next fight.
I love this question so much because it revolves around judgement and in-game moral.
Looting squad mates death boxes before reviving them is usually immoral if access to a respawn beacon is quick and safe. On the other hand, if the respawn beason is considered far or at high risk of seeing enemy activity, the survivors should gear up before attempting the rescue. Whenever it's done, give back the borrowed loot.
If in-game moral is not part of your gameplay, uninstall :D
