Looting teammates without the "banner animation"

So last circle, squad v squad

My teammates go down and are finished, but I down 2 enemy teammates.

HOWEVER< I basically ran outta ammo

So while under fire, I try to go to my teammates to grab some ammo, and instead, I have to dance through the "grabbed their banner" animation and end up dying because of it

It'd be great to have, but seeing as how we still have to re-arm our weapons when we swap their positions or use a jump tower, I doubt they'll add that functionality in. Clunky is key here in Apex.
