Lovely article

Saw another ‘lovely’ article in my google feeds. https://www.dexerto.com/amp/apex-legends/apex-legends-devs-respond-to-bizarre-complaints-about-female-legends-1409776
Somebody actually complained about having 2 and possibly a third female in a row in the game and wondered if he’s playing a feministic game -_-

the internet these days... just wow. The real rise of outspoken idiots is as true as the internet is vast. The only good thing the OP probably did and will do in his whole life is that he deleted his tweet.

[EDIT] the pasted pics (hopefully you can see them) are from a convo in the same topic. It was so stupid it was funny. If the replier just said “does he have 1 X and 1 Y chromosome in each cell? If not he’s not a male” regarding the fact that Rev or even Path are males. Yes Rev was male but now he is a male version ‘robot’ and Path is a male inspired one.
Using genitals to ‘determine’ if a person is a male is just silly, as there are males without genitals. Which in turn would be offensive to those individuals I can assume.

I read the original Tweet when it went up, and thought this is a $hit show waiting to happen.

Just like the numerous posts on reddit as to where people were upset the new legend was indian.

  • @DoYaSeeMeAre you trying to bait R34 artists? Im down for that.

Also on topic, im not sure whats worse, the guy complaining about it since the added Characters are split 50% in male and female, or Dexerto picking that story up, i mean they see some random crazy neckbeard rambling like a tinfoil hatted homeless person and make news out of it. You can't take anyone involved here seriously.

  • If everyone would just ignore those random single articles by nobodies, nobody would care. Otherwise this is like a self-fulfilling prophecy, where these only become a big deal because you make a big deal out of them by giving them all the publicity.

@BigBlackCaustic & @Vladplaya That’s very true but every weird stuff gets covered nowadays to illicit a response. But depending on the character of the author if something doesn’t get the exposure they want they write even more about it or more intense until they get what they want @Vladplaya
  • @Koochi-Q Thats not how it works, if the author releases a dozen abominations that either gain no traffic or damages their reputation i can garantee that their boss will bend them over their desks and goatse them as they are still profit-based and likely have shareholders to please.

@apostolateofDOOMThey are known for these shenanigans to such degrees that they are both directly and indirectly discouraged and banned from being talked in some communities like the competitive CSGO and Siege community. If they insult and degrade their audience enough they will go the way Buzzfeed went. Which means they will be stuck talking about safe and superficial nonsense in the hopes of regaining any audience.

@BigBlackCaustic Oh no Mr. BBCaustic, I didn't mean the author of the article, I meant the author of the post of which the author of the article is writing about. I should've stated it more clearly.

I know authors of articles (usually) work for someone and they have to meet a quota each week, so it's not their fault when they come across something and write about it even if it's not deemed 'newsworthy' by some.

With my post to which you're replying I was referring about alot of 'extremists' (in the broadest sense of the word) who write about stuff they're passionate about. Usually they write/speak or advocate for a long time but don't feel that they get heard so they go over to extreme measures to ensure they do get heard. That's where I was going with my post.
