Maining Fuse - Aiming his Ult

I normally jump around legends quite a lot with seer being the most recent. I've come to play fuse again and I'm really enjoying him.

There is one thing I don't like, aiming his Ult. You can aim and get it perfect, say on the edge of a building, the green circle is showing where it should. Hit the button and it shoots way past the aiming area as if you were aiming for the mountains beyond.

Another issue is actually trying to aim it at all, if there is a slight dip or rise between you and the aiming area it can jump form really close to really far / out of range.

I'm not sure though how to address the issues though. Anyone else have these problems and have any solutions?

Low-key maining fuse riight now, and I got nothin for ya.  At least Horizon's ult is Almost in the same neighborhood of fussiness.  The second problem you mentioned is a pain, but is at least intended- LOS is necessary to connect.

  • @Ragarath Just like when throwing a caustic ult or a nade, even the slightest movement will throw off the fuse ultimate final destination.
  • @Ragarath Strewth! Fusey main here (except in Arenas).

There are two ways of using the Ult - defensively and offensively.

Defensively you just wang it behind you then run away.

Offensively, you need to have a second or two free to get the placement spot on. Wherever the bottom of the placement guide is touching, that's where it will deploy, so if you're aiming ahead of you but that bit of the guide is on a rock just a couple of yards ahead of you then that's where it is going to deploy.

If you want to place it where there are obstacles in the way, then tough, you can't. it's a design 'feature' - if there's a wall 10 feet ahead of you but beyond that distant mountains then you'll only be able to fire it at the wall, not 10 feet behind the wall (which is probably where you want it to go).

If I am going to use the ult offensively, then I try and get as high as possible so I get as clear a view as possible.

It's not a perfect ult but if you could fire it 100% accurately every time it would be too OP, like Seer's and Gibby's ults combined.

How foolish of us not to know that!  Ladies and gentlemen, I believe we can close the thread now.
