- @Koochi-Q But in the current system we have challenges that effectively give 10 stars. The challenges that give an entire BP level when you complete them so they are even nerfing the XP from challenges since challenges now only give a max of 5 stars or 1/2 a BP level
- E9ine_AC5 years agoHero+@asukojo heh for 10 bucks i dont even need to test the system. People pay more then 10 bucks for lunch. =P
- @RockScorpion384 True, but this is the realism talking since I know what Respawn wants to do and doing the opposite would seem weird.
I’ll hold my breathe till I actually get to test this.
Until then, Like, comment & subscribe to my Apex forum posts XD. - @asukojo To be fair I didn't like any of the battle pass skins except R99, but I think there is a high chance they put it back in the care package (they sold PK skin, then care packaged, then soled white R99 skin and same happened, they can do that again). I'm not sure if I get the battle pass in general. I might buy an event pack instead.
- @asukojo Aren't you leaving out daily challenges? This looks like a screen shot of just the weekly challenges.
I'm not getting the BP either way until I see how much I play this season, but I doubt they put a system in that takes twice as long. Who's going to buy into that?

@asukojoYes you need 100K if you just do XP. Thats bad. But to compensate. You now have up to 50% more exp (from what I read in the Simplified Challenges post).
Next to that you also get 1 to 5 stars for challenges depending on difficulty. So we have yet to see what 5 star challenges are, how many weeklies we get and how much dailies give.
So it can still go any direction, easier, similar and harder grind. They don’t want harder grind as they wanted to make the grind easier for those busy ppl so most likely we’re missing something or they just messed up the numbers.I would argue the opposite. They (mainly EA) want to make things more grindy. Because, the more you have to grind, the more you have to play. And that looks good on their analytics, because you're "engaging" with the game. And, oh look, if the grind gets to be too much, you can always pony up some extra dough and buy BP levels. Well, fancy that.
Basically, I feel they know exactly what they are doing. They're hoping they can push us in a way where the grind is just enough where we don't want to quit the game, but to where we'll happily buy BP levels and/or buy some boxes (or what have you) while we spend hours and hours at our devices trying to complete this thing.
In short, it's "just business". All they probably see here, by doing this, is $$$.
I'm getting the battlepass anyway, that's why I keep the coins from the previous seasons. I'm curious if I'll be able to complete all challenges, like I did in almost all seasons. I have no doubt though that it will be almost as easy to max out as now.
- @JonStriker126 I still think the opposite cause who are they making the most money from? The casuals. The casuals far outweigh the die harders, long timers and rankers. Those 3 might spend more individually, but casuals have more numbers and make the most figures arguably.
In the past they stated that they felt that the BP was too grindy so they made it easier to grind. People still nowadays feel that it’s too grindy and in response they also said new changes inbound.
But ultimately it’s about more money yes @Koochi-Q
I see your point. But, what you said is actually why I feel the way I do. I have a friend that plays this game much more casually than myself. The thing is, they still buy the BP and still want the cool stuff that comes with it. The grindier the BP, the more levels they will end up buying. Great for EA/Respawn, not so much for them.
I agree that the casual market makes up the largest percent of the player base. But, I also believe that's why they make some of the decisions they do, which may look fine on the surface, but are done in such a way to lure more people into spending more money, thus making them loads more cash (while we, the players, suffer for it, in a variety of ways).
And, yes, I know a business needs to make money. But, I worry about how they do so and what affects it may have on the customer/player. I mean, I look at Apex with its $18 Legendary skins, loot boxes, paid battle passes, and when they say that changes are coming to these things that "benefit the player", I'm just more than a bit hesitant to take them at their word, is all.
Don't get me wrong, I want any changes made to this game to be a success for both the players and companies involved. If that happens, they make money and we have fun and feel satisfied with our time/money/effort spent on this game. All very good thing. But, sadly, that is rarely the case with most "Triple AYE!" games these days. A lot of the time, the money companies end up making comes from screwing over their players, not helping them. And I just don't want things like the S7 BP system to fall under that category, you know?
I assure you, I say all these things as someone who loves this game and wants to see it be the best game it can be and for players to have fun and feel rewarded for playing it and supporting it. I wouldn't be on here, engaging with people and discussing all these things about the game (both positive and negative), if that wasn't the the case.Yup, that's a big problem. Are the stars from quests efficient enough to balance this out, or is it just going to be way harder to grind?
