Making console players and PC players cross-play by default would be foolish

Dude, although I'm not sure where you heard the news, I don't think they will change the existing matchmaking system. I also hope they don't do something stupid, as the          upgrade of Overwatch has still maintained the current situation. Moreover, the Nintendo Switch itself matches with both next-generation and old-generation consoles at 30 fps, so I don't think they will make any changes.
