My friend apparently doesn't get as many PC's as she said: "I don't know why you get so many, I don't seem to run into as many as you do." To which I replied: "Well, maybe my MMR is just so good it puts me in PC hacker lobbies." 😏
The only fun is ripping on them. Had this Wraith who claimed it was her first game 😏 We had a lengthy discussion about everything PC and console. She claimed she wasn't cheating. Told her she needed to upgrade her 386 cpu to an i486, maybe then she could run Apex and cheats at the same time. She claimed PC was better than console. I claimed it's only better if you wanna wall, aimbot, speedhack, infinite charge rifle, floating Gibby, force people to reload, etc.. Well yes, that's basically the only fun there is on the game atm.. I've just gone back to Star Trek now. 13 year old game and no crossplay. ☺️ Someone in my Armada used to play it on PC but has moved to console now, as they said: "I had to use a mod that let me avoid all the modders." 🤡
- 3 years ago@CCbathwater Anyway, it is foolish and unreasonable to default to cross-play between PC and console players. The purpose of cross-play is to allow players from different platforms to game together, not to subject PC and console players to a frustrating and highly unfair competition. Although APEX may not be the best in this regard for now, they are certainly much better than simply forcing PC and console players to cross-platform matchmaking by default. I truly hope they don't do something stupid that would harm APEX.
- 3 years ago@M4ssacres I have also read that post, and the author himself expressed low possibility. Anyway, one of the reasons why I still choose to play Apex Legends on PS5 is because the closed system environment of consoles can maintain game balance to the maximum extent and provide a gaming experience free from cheating. I also think it's foolish to automatically match PC and next-gen console players together. But nothing is conclusive, so let's keep an open mind.
- 3 years ago@Giftwilliam117 In what bubble are you living in my friend ? Consoles are just as full with cheaters as pc if not significantly more since it’s much cheaper safer and easier to cheat there
I will just leave one more word here:
Cronus

@CCbathwater The feeling is mutual bud. I have quit playing due to being in console lobbies constantly. Not that the competition is too hard, it is just frustrating to watch roller players look at the ceiling and their feet and still be able to 1 clip with a 99 or car. This is like playing basketball against someone who cannot stand more than 15 seconds but still drains shots like Larry Bird.
PC does not have more cheats than console. It is just that the console cheats are much more subtle than dumb rage hacking PC kiddos. But I assume more console kids will now go out and buy that Cronus or other similar cheap hardware to get that competitive edge over the obviously cheating PC kids and further down we go. Lance Armstrong disorder race to the bottom.
This is just the way it works going forward. Competitive integrity is long gone.

I don't feel that Respawn's assumption that MnK is superior just is accurate enough to justify their current approach, IMO. Making crossplay mandatory for PC players but options for console players is just garbage and this idea of putting next gen console players in PC lobbies by default is just as bad.
I'm sorry to the AA apologists but I've been one clipped in close quarters by roller players way too many times to say it is pure skill or luck. Input based lobbies with crossplay optional is the only way I can think of making this closer to 'fair' but with emulators, Strike Packs, cheats, & scripts being so prevelant I don't know how they'd be able to tell.
- 3 years ago@CCbathwater forcing pc players to play against console aim assist shouldnt be a thing but yet here we are. pc players cant turn it off

Console can't turn it off now either.
