Matchmaking times EU

Hi,

Since about a month (maybe two), Apex Pubs matchmaking takes about 5 minutes. I basically only play with the same 100 or so players.

I am not complaining about the difficulty or anything. It's just annoying when you hot drop, die, then have to wait 5 minutes for the next game. According to steamdb there should be about 40000 to 60000 players online at the time I am playing 21:00 - 01:00 MET. It should be possible to match more than two lobbies.

I also tried the East US server, it's just as slow but with a worse ping.

Were there any changes to matchmaking lately? I could only find info about ranked changes, I don't like the new ranked mode with the different drops. It's super boring.
I also couldn't really find others complaining about this, it's mostly stuff like "why am I getting matched with Masters?". Like I said, I don't care about that though.

So, is it just me or do others have the same issue?

    PS: my highest rank was Diamond 1, I never bothered to reach Master. My KD this season is 1.2 which is low but OK for me considering I am only playing against Masters and Predators. I play either solo or in a party of two with my brother. I only play Unranked Trios.
