Mind if I ask what's the motive behind inventory changes?

I can some what understand the nades, you don't want people to spam them, fine.. I won't carry any nades not enough room in inventory for it now.

What I do not understand, the heals it makes almost no sense at all. So you can carry 2 Batteries in one slot which is enough for 2 full recharges of the shield, yet cells you can only carry 4 in one inventory slot?! Enough to repair shields to full one time. How does this make sense?

Now the syringes and med kits are essentially the same story. Toss in that it's faster to pop 1 med kit and 1 battery then it is to pop 4 shield cells and 2-3 syringes. I just don't understand the logic behind this.

  • Didn't really care for it myself. Fortnite did something similar with heals in Season 5 I think. The reason being for them was people who streamed would spend most of the game holed up with mini's(1/4 shields) in their inventory and pencil in hand(edit for build mode). With the reduction in heals it forced you to choose heals or other items. Also with a cap it forced you to play the game in a more aggressive style. It worked for the most part game became less camp fests and more strategy and positioning.

I am sure respawn is doing the same thing here. Bringing people into fights and forcing them into finishing them quicker.

I didn't like the back pack change. Especially considering there are no in game update notes so first game in it was weird to pick up 6 bandages and 2 slots in my backpack were taken up. The grenade limitation on just 1 per slot is stupid in my opinion. Fine no grenade spamming, just will make it harder to deal with a camping caustic. I know because last night I got my second win of the night camping as Caustic in geyser. No one could push in because there were only 2 doors in circle and they sat outside peek shooting windows. Ordinarily I would have been naded to death.(Which was fine in my opinion.) I don't like dying, but in the case of my game last night I should have been easily flushed out by the last squad since I was solo for most of the game I just camped it out to see how far I could get. I am sure my opponent squad at the end game was cursing the lack of stacking nades. They had a few at the beginning, but ran out quickly, which will lead to more camping of sorts in the future in my opinion.

Like everything else with the game it is their choice to change things  as they see fit.

After about 5 hours of playing, I can say that I only feel a difference in the grenades amount. The first few matches, I looted with the stacking limits in mind and ended up having too many meds, shield batteries, cells, ammo. Then I didn't care much and realized the benefit of those 2 slots added, as they allow me to carry parts for other weapons, either for switching later to a different loadout range weapon or to bring them to my teammates.

Nades feel like a problem now, but I also noticed that I often end matches with a ton of ammo. I can gain 1-2 slots there.
  • I can't say it had major impact to my game. It's more of a discomfort. Can adopt to anything really.  Would like to cary 6 celles and 6 syringes this should balance the change.  I will use the extra two slots for bats.

Still think cells are essentially useless now.

I tend to carry more syringes instead as armor swapping is easier than just trying to replenish cell after cell only to run out before getting a full shield off.

Guess all I can do now is just keep posting my thoughts and hope something changes 🥳

they should just reverse it to how it was before the patch.

  • I love it. It only took a day or two to adjust to the new system, but it's a change for the better. Now instead of having the last 4-5 teams spam grenades and heals, you can only choose one. If you have gold armor, you'll probably carry more heals. If you have purple, you'll probably carry more grenades. It's balancing everyone out so it's not a spam-fest at the end. Everything is more methodical - what to carry, when to use items, etc.

  • Yep absolutely despise the inventory change.

Change for the sake of change with no purpose.

As OP said... heals, i now ditch small heals in favour of big heals. Before there was more tactical reasons for selection of one over the other.

    Ammo is ultra limited.

What's the point of 1 grenade. Useless. Takes up too much space to justify carrying any at all.

Just pure rubbish change. No offence, Dev.

Wasn't nothing wrong with it before. Why change it.
