Please keep in mind that the developers won't every make any drastic changes at once, but rather try to make smaller changes over time according to what the forums are asking for according to Live Balance Update live on all platforms - let's talk about meta. You won't see the peacekeeper "going away" anytime soon.
As for the exploit, I'm sure if it's brought more to the developers attention it will be in patch notes soon to come.
