New FPS game set in the Apex Universe

Question

A new job listing has been posted by Respawn for an “An Apex Universe FPS Incubation” and “brand new single player adventure.” I guess they’re calling the titanfall universe the apex universe now to better attract developers joining the team. The specific position is for a senior engine/systems engineer and a hard surface artist.

I wonder if they’ll continue the titanfall series or make a new storyline with new characters altogether.

Eugene Kim, an ex-senior environment artist at Respawn, has left the company. But that’s typical for devs to rotate to different dev companies.

This tweet from Eugene pretty much confirms that the new single player game WILL NOT be titanfall 3 hence not follow Jack Cooper since he called they’re continually calling it as “Apex Universe” and not the “Titanfall universe”. We still might get some easter eggs or some nods to the TF series in the new game.

Just curious, did you play Titanfall 2 before playing apex? I really didn’t care about TF2 only played it a few months ago because of Apex Legends. I suggest playing the single player campaign and it’s always on sale.

I would guess that the decision to make an apex legends universe game is the reason why Blisk was removed/delayed from the Apex roster. He might play a big role in the new game. Last year we already saw multiple videos of insider leaks of testing Blisk’s abilities.

If I can play Lifeline in this single-player game, then yes, I will play. I will get it some day when the price is right. No way I'm paying 70-80 euros for a game, like them publishers want nowadays. 🤭 A Mastertronic game on C64 cost £1.99 and often had music by Rob Hubbard, beat that, present day publishers!
