New red symbol after update

What does this mean and how do I get rid ? 

EDIT: After the suggestion that this was sound related I have tested absolutely every option I can think of and the symbol stayed there the whole time . This includes;

• Using my headset both muted & unmuted , at different volume output and input levels .
• Using the ps5 default controller mic both muted & unmuted .
• Playing whilst in a PlayStation party chat and then using the games default voice chat.
• Reverting all in game sound options to default and then changing them back to my preferences.
• Solo queuing and using chat function aswell as queuing with friends .
• Muting all party members and their pings one by one .

None of the above got rid of the new symbol, and more to the point my duos buddy has not had the symbol appear once yet he’s using EXACTLY the same hardware as me . It’s also noteworthy that I don’t have any sound issues whatsoever (unless lack of footstep audio counts 😛) so not sure why this would be there if it’s sound related. I could be missing something and there could be an answer that proves it is in fact sound related , but I need someone to prove and confirm that for me.

As for the speculation that this could be a new lag related symbol, all I can say is I’ve had this symbol since the update and have also had horrible lag the entire time which I didn’t have in the slightest before all this . I don’t want to jump to conclusions though as it could just be mere coincidence.

@EA_David @EA_Illium could we please get some more info on this ?

EDIT 2: Just played one match and the symbol wasn’t there! No idea what got rid of it and not played another match yet to see if it will return , but I will say that I didn’t lag at all in that match.. Really want to know if this is all just coincidence and whatever the outcome - what the real meaning of this new red menace is .

EDIT 3 : Symbol reappeared the following match and then stayed permanently for the following three matches . Reset my console and first match  NO red symbol, second match after reset symbol returned and then it disappeared half way through the match ...
