NEWS: Control Leaver Penalty & bad news for Cross Progression

I believe these are news big enough to make a new thread. 

CONTROL LEAVER PENALTY

Apex's Development Tracker Trello (https://trello.com/b/ZVrHV38P/apex-tracker) has been updated. Leaver penalties will be added to Control.

OTHER BUGS

Aside from the bugs on Trello, there are bugs being addressed like the high framerate drops on those on past generation consoles and the Octane jump pad being inconsistent. No word yet on the Loba and Wattson bugs.

CROSS PROGRESSION UPDATE

This is an insider leak so take it with a grain of salt. Biast12, one of the most reliable inside leakers of Apex, stated that cross progression might have account switching but not account merging. Which means that your first PS4/Xbox/Switch/PC account can be played in another platform BUT your progress and cosmetics from the newer account cannot be transferred to that old account. 

If Respawn did apply account merging, it should only be a 1 time thing since basically you can get an extra 250 apex packs for merging accounts and we all know that Respawn and EA are stingy when it comes to giving out apex packs. 

Ultimately, this is great news if you're just switching now to a new platform but not for those who already made a lot of progress in their new platform hoping to get their old cosmetics from an older account. I’ll post more about it as we get more information. For sure more info will leak as this was sent out to a lot of people (EA Game Changers/Content Creators).

    Collection Event Gun Skins

    Oscar Aguirre, lead hard surface mtx artist at Respawn (does that mean he makes the textures?), posted a couple of 4k images of the new guns that will be part of the collection event in a few days.

    Wattson Heirloom Updated

    Wattson's heirloom got upgraded to the barcode scanner pro max in the most recent update too. It now has a bigger skin. Also posted by Oscar Aguirre.

    Legendary Skins

    KralRindo made a list of the number of legendary skins each legend and weapon have. Havoc

    Do we know what is refered to by merge two accounts and same account. Does the fact that you have 1 account with two progressions count as two accounts or 1 account so "merging" will be possible? For me crossprogression has very very meager value if it does not merge the accounts you have, normally this has value when you move from a platform to another, very few will use it on multiple platforms at the same time.

    Control Leave Penalty, short thought solution, this might actually be a big face palm to the mode. They need to make filler matchmaking and rework a bit on the point system as well as making catchup mechanics, this will keep people interested. Leaver penalty just make people stay away and play other modes.

    @MadameRose66 Forgot to mention that the heirloom material is a bit brighter and the screen is now on or emits light in 3rd person.

    @Cro_Pittt DOTA, LoL, and even Pokemon Unite has harsher quitter penalties than Apex. This quitter culture in apex is getting worse per season. I don’t really mind it that much in Control since winning or losing isn’t that of a big deal in that mode but I still think leaver penalties should be in place. Quitters should be condemned in this game since every person has a huge impact whether you’ll win or lose that mode.

    I stil imagine they’ll add more incentives to play control. And I’m not entirely down on just penalties either. But they’ll work better once they add some benefits too.

    it’s still the best game mode in Apex and that’s including BR
